Listen up maggots! And that's an order!
CLEVELAND -- Browns star wide receiver Josh Gordon has been suspended the entire NFL season for another violation of the league's substance abuse policy.

The league announced Wednesday that arbitrator Harold Henderson upheld Gordon's suspension, which the Pro Bowler appealed. Gordon met with league officials in New York on Aug. 4 and he and the Browns had been patiently awaiting a resolution.

Gordon's suspension is effective immediately and he will have to apply for reinstatement following the season. Gordon is not allowed to practice with the team, attend meetings or other club functions.

Gordon served a two-game suspension for a drug violation.

IMO, If Josh Gordon didn't have a history of weed and that DUI, this wouldn't have happened.
 



Weed?!!! I understand it's illegal, but it's hardly a performance enhancing drug (unless you consider the great sex it makes you THINK you're having ... at least that's what I heard). Anyway, what has Goodell done about that pill popping owner of the Colts?

MB, gotta blame the players for not negotiating for that in the collective bargaining agreement ...

But Josh Gordon got kicked out of Baylor for weed and ultimately getting picked up in the supplemental draft. He already had a 2-game substance abuse violation on his NFL resume BEFORE getting that DUI this summer and this failed drug test. So before this summer, he as already being watched and in the NFL's drug program. He should've known better.

If there's anyone to blame, it's Josh Gordon.

Hate to agree with it but I can't feel sorry for someone possibly costing themselves a top 5 receiver contract because of weed.

I bet the next time they're at the bargaining table they won't be so quick to give up so much power to Goodell and cave in on stuff like this.

An Open Letter To Charles Barkley & Co.

Dear Sir Charles, Stephen A., Cris and other interested parties,

Thank you for your recent outpouring of concern about my well being. In what has been a difficult time for my family, friends and fans, you — and those like you — have taken it upon yourselves to express just how much you care about me and my future. For that, I am truly appreciative.

The thing is, though, you don’t even know me.

Chuck, you have never so much as shook my hand, let alone exchanged a single word with me. Few of you have, to be honest. Respectfully, your worry over my “problems†with substance abuse and my twisting descent into darkness and, apparently, my impending death, is misplaced — mostly because you have very little idea what you are talking about. None of you do, even those of you who seem curiously obsessed with the goings-on in my life:

How, exactly, can you be “done†with someone you have never had a meaningful conversation with beyond a quick First Take spot? Regardless, I am relieved that you no longer need to harbor sympathy for me — mostly because I never asked for it, never wanted it, and certainly never needed it. I am not a victim here; I never claimed to be one, either.

And Cris, your level of interest in my life is even more puzzling, especially considering we have never met, either.

On Jan. 2 of this year, just days after our season ended earlier than we all had hoped — and yes, my actions during the prior offseason definitely contributed to our failure to make the playoffs; it killed me seeing our guys fight so hard when I wasn’t out there with them — I boarded a private flight to Las Vegas with several teammates. During the flight, I had two beers and two drinks. It was the first time I had consumed so much as a drop of alcohol since July 4, 2014, the day of the DWI.

Anyone who knows me knows that I am not much of a drinker. Even calling me a social drinker would be an exaggeration, but at that moment, on that flight, I made a choice. The wrong choice, as it turned out.

Upon landing, I received the all-too-familiar notice by phone that I was to report to a testing location within four hours. I failed the test, obviously, and the rest is history … colored by media speculation and faux outrage.

In the end, of course, I failed myself.

Can't feel sorry for this dumb ass idiot. He's failed a drug test every year since 7th grade and now you're 23 years old. Addicts can't admit when they have an addiction.

Is he the idiot or you for believing he failed all those drug tests starting when he was in the 7th grade?

Oh ok. So his uncle told you that?

I'm just wondering... since your comment about failing tests every year since 7th grade was the same as a tweet by Benjamin Allbright he referenced in his letter.

If he were in any other professional league (or the Olympics), the marijuana test last year wouldn't have been failed.
 
I'm just gonna leave it at I know the young man and a family member or two and I know his past.

It does appear that those with baggage always want to pile on. It is a wonder Barkley is not in jail for all the crap he did. Stephen just recently had his hat handed to him by ESPN and Carter...well, his problems with drugs/alcohol have been aired in public.

I do not know Josh Gordon and I hope what he wrote is true and I hope he wrote it and not some PR person.

Stephen A made a rebuttal of the letter yesterday evening and of course he went on and talked about daring someone to debate him over his thoughts about Josh Gordon.
