You are right as far as the damage is concerned. He's been dropped from so many films costing him big bags off a lie in which she was the aggressor

BUT the one that these big studios care about more than public opinion: MONEY

And since it appears that Majors will be found innocent, they'll slowly start putting him back in major roles since he appears to be innocent. They KNOW he makes money
