John Calipari trolling the NCAA






I disagree with that statement that he is not a good coach. He has won everywhere he has been. He hasn't had great talent his entire career. Some coaches may have better and X's and O's but he is very good at that as well.

You are not going to make the best decision every time. His entire career has shown me how good of a coach he is.

Where was he not loaded up on talent? The same thing happens everywhere he goes. He stacks up on players but when the talent is neutralized and he got to strategize or make in game adjustments, he comes up short. Wisconsin coach took him to the woodshed last year.

Wisconsin didn't really take him to the Woodshed. He wasn't loaded with talent at UMASS. All he had was Marcus Camby. That's One Player. Then the majority of his Memphis career. Later in his Memphis career he brought in Rose and Tyreke. He had Wagner for one year early on. That's about it.

Also, Explain your taking him to the Woodshed? Kentucky was the best executing team in the last 5 minutes for every game except that One game against Wisconsin. It happens to every coach. They were not playing some scrubs and lost. Wisconsin executed better than them that day. You know who was number two in the country as far as execution in the last 5 minutes of the game? Take a wild guess.

None of that stuff means a thing if you can't win a ring. Calipari gets the best talent in the country but can't seal the deal.. Why? Because sometimes talent can't win it. Sometimes you got to actually strategize and make in-game adjustments. Sometimes a coach has to actually coach not just roll the ball out and say "go win it"

Umass wasn't loaded? Man Umass had Camby, Bright, Traveso, and Padilla. That team played Kentucky early in the year and beat them in Detroit. Plus Umass dominated Georgetown with an Allen Iverson team. Why you think Coach Chaney didn't like him? Coach Cal can't coach his a good salesman.

All that those accolades. Wow!! That makes him the best coach? If that's the case Joe Paterno is the best college football coach in history. Guess what him and Cal got in common? They only got one ring.
 
He got a lot of accolades due to talent. I give him all the credit in the world for getting the recruits but to only have 1 ring leaves a lot on the table. I'm not a Duke fan but I respect Coach K. He can coach that type of talent.
 
Cal isn't the best Xs-and-Os guy...but he's a helluva Willies-and-Joes guy.

Folks won't admit it, but he's gamed the system.

He gamed the system but only has 1 ring. I am a Kentucky fan but I don't like Coach Cal. I don't think he does anything but roll the ball out and say "go win one." He is a helluva a recruiter. I give him that. However, when it comes down to having to coach a team to victory, I just don't think he delivers.
