Jeremy Johnson.... What SWAC school will he be at next?


Jeremy will rebound. He's too talented not to do so. His brother played at Bama State a couple years ago.

Will he rebound at auburn, or somewhere else???

I can remember last year, BAMA fans wanted Blake Simms benched, but Nick Saben stood his ground. Simms turned out to be a pretty decent quarterback.

Yes! I was proud of our Spady hire. He was a Broadway disciple that had experience inside and outside of the SWAC, so he's familiar with HBCUs. Same with our AD hire. He's an alum but has experience outside of HBCU land. Not that PWIs are better...its just good to have leaders with experience outside of the bubble.

Too much hype and not enough time to grow. The "Gus Bus" will not release him even if he wanted to transfer.

I doubt that he would wanna go to a school giving up 50+ points a game and over 600 yards. Not to mention a coach that's 80 years old with a losing record.

The problem with them getting a decent hire, who would want to coach under a contract that has an anytime $50k buyout clause? Basically, the administration could sign his contract one day, turn around the next day, give him $50k, and say, "we have found someone else to our coach our team". No person with decent coaching experience will accept that crazy contract.

It's not always like that. Comegy had no choice but to take that deal. With his salary and the APR problems hanging over him, his stock was low. OMJ never expected things to go this direction. I think our next coach would get a standard buyout in his contract. If it goes to $50K, it won't be off the bat. Maybe by year 3 or 4 but it will be time to renegotiate the contract at that point.

yeah our AD is an alumni of A&M...but his AD experience is with PWI's so he understands both sides of the game and has many connections. He is also a protégé of Jorich the long time AD at Louisville...that's where he gained the majority of his experience

in regards to Jeremy Johnson ...if he can't get it together at QB maybe he can move to another position or just join the basketball team ....I really can't see him transferring but I've seen stranger things happen

Folks just need to complain about something. Other than Coleman at UAPB, just about all of the coaches in the SWAC haven't even had a recruiting class play 4 years under them. Half are in their 1st or 2nd year. Hopson and Worm are showing what can happen when you are giving time (Assberry had a unique situation at TSU but I don't think they will care if they win 3-4 games this year).

I will bet that more than a few Tide fans are now appreciating what Blake Simms did last year.

Yes the jsu alum came into a challenging situation @TSU. After that I can't even put in words how wrong you are. You obviously have no idea what goin on with TSU football. TSU expected to and should be in the running for the championship this year.
