Jenkins kept two coaches from Barlow staff. The DC and DL coach. Although, they are both gone after first year.

Those allegations killed his chances of recruiting good enough players to win at ASU. When people find out those kind of things about a head coach (true or not), they aren't going to associate with him. HS, JUCO coaches, etc would send their kids elsewhere. HBCUs already have to be more than exceptional just to get kids that aren't at the bottom of the talent chain.
 
He should have came to JSU. The committee was pretty much dead set on OMJ however, I think the Queen would have made them take Jenkins if he wanted to come. We knew from the beginning that he was running from something when he left BCU for ASU. Who would choose ASU over JSU? He was just trying to hold out but he waited a year too late!
 
Im just mad this didnt turn into a big media circus between Jenkins and the Board. I was so looking forward to Josh Moon winning a Pulitzer Prize on that!

Look, JSU's football program is not a staple in the SWAC anymore. A bad JSU is simply a bad JSU. A bad GSU is bad for the SWAC. PV and Alcorn are competing to have JSU removed from the Big 3. SU is still there. For now....lol
 



Yeah, I was sort of looking for the usual monkey business show from the board too. Kinda needed that laugh that they always provided around this time of the year every year.

Dang, I hate to hear that you are so disappointed but at least y'all still have Hughes. I mean he is the guy who didn't want to shake hands after he took that L from AAMU, right? He is the guy that went on a rant with the fans not too long ago, right? See there's plenty of things in Jackson for you to feel happy about and I just named a couple for you. You're welcome!
