I agree. Nothing was wrong with offense. JSU should have had at least an 8-4 season. Just by him leaving the offense alone and fine tuning the defense. I watched the Tenn st game on BET and he looked like he, flat out, did not know what he was doing. I have never seen a JSU football team look as unprepared as I did this season. Those athletes are loyal to that program and to that university, so they will do what they are told. I gained much respect for R. Kent after last season. He made it to the league with a clueless coach. J-state still has alot of talent left. I just hope Kent and Culbertson, do not run those kids off.

As mentioned earlier, you are on the outside looking in. Anyone who suggests that we had as much talent last year as we had from 1999 to 2002 has no clue of what the program is trying to overcome now. And you can trash all of the loyalty talk...........you are the one that's clueless on this issue.

To bring my point home. With all of the crazy quotes from Bell that are being printed in the paper, Bell is starting off the 2004 season in the same manner.

Give some positives about the program, give something for the fans of JSU to look forward to. Bell stated nothing positive and nothing negative about the upcoming season for JSU.

I still laugh at Bells comments "it not how you start but how you finish". It is a very safe comment but at the same time what are you saying. At least TSU (no pun intended) states they are a young team with 5 qbs going into camp. I respect TSU coach for stating that TSU want be that good throwing the ball. Bell, you don't know what to make of him. I guess mis-understood.

If JSU like that fact that Bell has cursed JSU fans and the media then JSU in a very bad state or maybe it is just you. Bell needs to try and win support to keep from getting run out of town. You can't, because 99% of you on TSPN that always have something to say about JSU and Bell receive all of your information from this message board............in other words, your knowledge is a summation of other people's opinions/ jokes. And that is sad.

And if Bell wins, he'll get all the support he needs. Simple as that. His media day ettiquete will not win over anyone. That stuff wins over the feeble-minded fans. A mind is a terrible thing to waste. If I post a comment, you can best believe I read it in a article and normally give a link to the article to back my claim. You stated "his media ettiquete will not wing over anyone" It is apparent his coaching style has only won over the feeble minded fans. Your 2nd statement could not be more truthful.

That is why it is minding blowing that some of you JSU faithfuls will defend this 2 and 10 product JSU fielded last year. It is not JSU style, but Bells. Be content with it if you choose. Bell was 1 and 9 prior to coming to JSU he improved that to 2 and 10 at JSU, break out the fire works!

Don't you get the picture! Bell made the statement "it not how you start but how you finish". Looking at his track record that was a foolish statement to make.
 
A coach can only work with what he is given. I am glad that JSU is the only team that can never have losing season. If Pete had not scheduled Allen and Miles, they would have had a losing season in 2003 with a team he built. The man that everyone wanted to have Bells job (Comegy) just had a losing season with a team HE built so why blame Bell for losing with a team that Hughes built. You have to give a coach time. Johnny Thomas is predicted to finish first (but he won't) a few short years after everyone wanted him fired for going 0-11.
