TP, it seems we may have to concentrate on Georgia Tech this year.

NWState had a freshman QB and we treated him like one in the second half...we should have done that the entire game. I am still unsure how they scored their last TD...we must have messed up a punt or they had a really big play. Other than that, I have to give my defense props for their second half play.

I believe Ziegler for NW ran a long punt return back and we quickly marched in for a TD after that.

Congrats to JSU for playing a great game against the Demons.

Okay Demon was talking to me and I responded. Now if the conversation took a life of its own like this is then that is where PM should have come into play. Now if I recall you are a school teacher so I know you know better. The way you chimed in or piggy back onto what someone else commented on, I just responding to a question. nothing more nothing less. Let it go. This is a football thread.

Uh, because I'm a teacher, I'm inclined to explain further to those who don't comprehend the first time. My response to what SOGgy said wasn't a PIGGY BACK. It was a facetious reply to what he said, because, IMO, he was being too type A about the conversation you and DD were having in the first place. Just as I don't need to be reminded of the tenet of this thread, I didn't think the two of you did, either.

Being a college graduate, I'd have thought you'd have caught that; however, being a teacher, I guess I SHOULD have known better.

Way to represent JSU. I seriously thought NW State would have their way with you, but a good stand-up performance by the Tigers.

I knew something happened becasue I think we were ready to turn the ball over on downs.. a 60 second commercial came on and then they were saying the the NW RB was going in for a TD....so I figured something like that had to have happened but the commentators (JSU) never said.

LOL. Good to know I can push your buttons. Save the correct grammer. I am not impressed. It was a piggy back, call it what you want. SOGgy was talking to me and you chimed in on the replay. lol. Good to know you have put your teaching hat on. We are grown people on this board and words don't impress me. As a professional we all use them everyday. TSPN is my get-a-way from all that.

Make myself feel better. Get over yourself. I see you know math to. I am incline to ask what district you teach in, but I still see you see fit to respond. That 1/64th you are referring to, excuse but that 1/64th is still responding. Do yourself a favor and quit while your are ahead. I could disect you like a frog in biology but I will let you make it. lol. I have to call Jukebox89 before I have to fight him. lol.
 
Just in from a great game. This one went down to the wire, we got inside their 15 in the final seconds, but Green got sacked on the last 2 plays to end it. He also missed a wide-open Kenneth Davis about 2 plays earlier. 2 special team mistakes in the 2nd half killed us.
 
I was very pleased with what I saw tonight. Our team has nothing to hang their heads about. We played Northwestern tough. The defense stepped up HUGE in the second half....and like JSU/99 said.....We were inside their 15 with 30 seconds left. Green was sacked....on the play before that he missed a WIDE OPEN RECIEVER. That's how it ended...but it could have gone either way.

Bell opened up the offense tonight....the most i've ever seen under Bell. It will be interesting to see if he leaves it that way. It was much more productive. All things considered....SWAC you would have been pleased to see how we had those NW folks sweating. LOL.
 
The two halves were night and day from each other. The defense really stepped it up in the 2nd half and shut NWSU down. Critical plays here or there and we could win. Green overthrew a WIDE OPEN Kenneth Davis on 1st down in the endzone. The last two plays, we shoulda been in the shotgun, because of the blitz pressure they brought. And after Green was nearly sacked on the next to last play, we definitely shoulda been in the shotgun on the last play.

We had our opportunities. Still need to cash in on more red zone opportunities. Placekicking was great, which makes me wonder what things woulda been like last week if we try to kick FGs in the 1st half instead of always going for it. Hopefully we will build on the great 2nd half play.

Clemson choked in the final minutes. Their choked was worse than Florida State's against Miami. Clemson ran for 199 yards, and a team cannot keep doing that and continue to win.
