I can believe it. Especially since this is the first home game. I am sure even the Valley fans came out. They might not represent on the board. But there are few in and around Jackson. Now that Totten is there, they probably had some show up for this game. Valley and JSU is a real hate fest. I remember growing up in Jackson and watching JSU fans and Valley fans get to fighting at those games. The funny part would be when Valley fan started fighting Valley fan after getting liquored up. LOL

Just back from the game

After we went ahead 33-12, hughes took out Kent in the third quarter, but brought him back for one series in the 4th; that's when we got the field goal. So Green got some valuable playing time. Valley's offense moved the ball decently in this game, but their only TD came after three 15 yard penalties in one drive, including a roughing the passer after we recovered a fumble. The safety was an intentional grounding by Kent in the endzone after a snap went 20 yards over his head. Valley's defense was ok, but we blew a couple of scoring oppurtunities inside Valley's 20(one a questionable fumble on the 1 yard line).

Good news: Kent broke the career TD record.
Team responded well when things got a little scary in the second quarter.
Defense play well against a pretty good QB.(Weaver)
We had a very good crowd(at least 40K.)
