They can always do like we did before we hired Pete. They can let their AD coach the team for a few years while they are still searching for the right coach. Marino Casem took over coaching duties until Pete came to Southern.

I just hope that jsu don't go after any of Southern and Coach Odum's assistants. Please don't try to mess up any of our young coaches careers...........stay away!
 
Where have ya'll read that we have offered anyone the job? I doubt we have offered anyone officially. I think yesterday was the last day of interviews...

...and if Hobson was offered an interview, that meant he applied. Hobson would NEVER interview unless he was GUARANTEED the job and I can't see JSU making that guarantee. Who knows, Jenkins may have wanted that guarantee as well. Heck, we might go back to Jenkins with a guarantee IF that is who they want and IF they didn't guarantee him the job initially. Most HCs won't interview unless they are assured the position. Aint that right, Mighty Dog? :snicker:

You all are forever hopeful I see. We have coaches right now who can take the job and win the SWAC next year. It's just that, NO ONE knows what this committee is doing.

No one's knocking the burg...an Alcornite posted that Jackson is the ghetto and their beloved non-championship winning, non-division winning coach wouldn't consider living in Jackson because Jackson is beneath him.

I think that is why I prefaced my statement with the words,"Who knows" and used the words "may have" in the statement... :confused:

We won't know what he wants or what he thinks unless we offer him the job. He might be telling us to either offer him or don't waste his time. Again, who knows? He has a job right now with limited resources. He does not have time to wait around on JSU.

The Clarion Ledger said Jenkins turned down an interview and decided to stay. JSU has interviewed Harold Jackson and Tony Hughes. They say most of the people were impressed with Hughes interview. There are concerns that he's never been a coordinator. They don't Jackson has a chance although he had more coordinator experience. I got this info from a committee member.
