Jackson State still searching for football coach

If you want Hopson you can have him. Anybody knows in football its not the coach that makes the team but the scheme :lol:.

Just be quiet BH123. JSU don't want Hopson and he is an alright coach. He ain't worth them trying to take from yall. Seriously. If they want to make a splash. They will bring in a non SWAC coach that has some multiple experiences, young, can recruit, and has a vision for the program. That's what all our programs need to have in a coach. Hopson at JSU makes no sense to me. But that is just JR.

JR, this is a business. Money always talks. If I got offered more pay, I myself would take it. That's just the nature of college football and athletics in general.

Just because y'all had a woman for a president and we have a woman as president doesn't mean we're looking to make the same hire.

If that is the case, why are you looking to hire a new football coach in the first place? :lol:

Shannon would've been a great hire 5-10 years ago. But 5 years out of college is too long unless you're coming from the nfl in my opinion.

THIS! Research the candidates carefully and ask all the RIGHT questions (success in recruiting, knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations and how they relate to APR, knowledge of university rules and regulations, success rate of former athletes in/out of the classroom, compatibility with former teams/staff/faculty), in addition to the usual questions. You don't want the first thing off the street that can't coach or recruit or has absolutely no ethics when it comes to NCAA and/or APR and team/university conduct (discipline).......(no smack).

Some things are a given, JSU isn't selecting a pee wee league football coach, the criteria is already known for selecting the new coach!
