Who has the best chance of winning their season opener in football? Why?

Jackson State vs. Southern Mississippi
Southern vs. Tulane
Grambling vs. Mcneese State
 
GSU because:

1. We're the ICON
2. Same level of competition (both 1AA)
3. The "other two" are sked of white folk...[couldn't resist]

.....Gotta' agree with you, MikeB.... I would like the SWAC to win the "TRIFECTA" on Aug. 31st, however, given the history of the other "two" in football against the PWC's the best chance comes in the form of the G-MEN ;)
 
Some of you "busters" are really full of yourself. Only S.U. in the SWAC has a current 9year running series with a PWC. And, the SUperior BCF school leads that series (5-4) over SFC power NWST. Look for the Jags to represent the SWAC best in two weeks and bring home the W (wishing the other two the best of luck).

.....But how is your series record against the "celler-dweller" Nicholls State???....if you check out Mac Niece's website, they mention the "su" record and how Thibodeaux owns you. Not trying to smack but just an "fyi".
 
JSU has a better chance than both, because we return the better team. And Gram returns nothing.

I sure wish Southern and Troy State could have (or could) put together a series. FAMU took Troy State in the I-AA playoffs. They play again this year in Mobile, ceptin' Troy is now Div I-A and will be well prepaired for FAMU. I'd like to see if a SWAC school could beat Troy State, other than ASU during the Houston Markham era.

Yall gotta watch these PWCs i'm telling you. Mugz like GASouthern and UAB have very substantial black enrollments and are "virtually" black colleges if you look at the student body.

First of all, why would someone even post such a thread. You won't get any truthful answers anyway. Everyone's gonna say their own school. No one from SU sure as hell won't say gSU or jSU.:rolleyes:

Dude you see, thats the difference between the ICON and SUcks. We are not just limited to the state.

Last year (because of 9/11) teams were trying to make up games that were cancelled. Arkansas needed to make up its cancelled game against Univ. of North Texas because both teams did not share another open date. Arkansas contacted us about playing them and we were willing, but they punked out and scheduled Weber State instead...did you here me man? Weber State. They didn't want to play us because they was sced, despite the fact we would put more buts in the seats.

SMU has been trying to get us to play them for the last 3 years, but Doug keeps telling them that they are going to have to give us more $$$$ than what they are offering.

Now, other than TooLame, who the hell else wants to play SUcks? Answer that for me.

Let me help you with something... If you are going to smack about issue like this...you need to make sure you know all of the facts.

Also, when you attempt to smack about something that has no relation to the topic at hand, it shows that you are desperate and have nothing else to comeback with. In your case, I was talking to the folks from SU, not JSU, so you would better off not to say anything at all. It makes you look...well you know smalltime.

A Hall of Famer is suppose to know these things.

BTW, is playing a NATIONAL school regional thinking? How about an INTERNATIONAL school? Since Tulane is an International Research University, how is playing TU regional thinking? BTW, since GSU is supposed to be the ICON, where is the largest collection of African-American history on this planet?

I'll let you guess which building on the TULANE UNIVERSITY campus it's in. Silly Tigers. :rolleyes:
