Be quiet TP. They don't have a damn plan. Carolyn and Viv both gone be gone sooner than later. Watch how the Queen gets dragged down with Viv in the lawsuits. I heard some things that your esteemed President did that might cost her in the long run. Hiring Harold no matter who put her up to it is going to sting too.

You ain't going to do nothing but hire some HS coaches to help you recruit. You had to pay Harold 260K to get him out of Cali huh? This is dumb as hell. Does he have a 50K buyout like Comegy? If he don't. This reeks of some good old BBA stuff. They have gotten one of their own to come back to lead JSU. This was a loss for the young alums at JSU. Yall have no damn voice at all.

Phreeze, I should have applied for the JSU job if they handing out that kind of Cheddar. They are giving this dude more money than a more accomplished Comegy was making. They didn't have enough sense to re-adjust the salary based on who they hired. I can understand had they hired Jenkins and had to pay him 200K. But Harold Jackson was not in demand. Not at 68. If he wanted to come back so bad to coach his alma mater, he should have gotten offered no more than 160K. No wonder my kinfolks at home are sick as dog about this. 260K!! That makes him the highest paid coach in the SWAC. Maybe in HBCUs.

I never supported the hiring of Greg LaFleur and was very vocal about it. TP is the main reason why some leaders at our schools think that they can get away with any old bullshyt. I'm glad SU has become more transparent by putting the board meetings on the internet. IMO, somebody at jSU needs to check and see how exactly Meyers and Viv obtain their PhD's. I bet the folks at Norfolk State probably could give them some clues.

That's what I just typed on Twitter. Comegy is a winner. Jenkins is a winner. Even if you wanted to get rid of Comegy, you mean to tell me that you couldn't pay Jenkins 250K a year over Jackson. Even if people would have said that the 250K is too much for jenkins, at least his record at BCU justifies it. You give a 68 year old unproven guy 260K a year over a guy 25 years his junior with a proven record?

Oh Jackson is very much proven his record at VUU (1-9) and at Benedict (6-12). :lol: :lol:

I heard BCU just gave Jenkins big money in the upper 200s. More than 250. How true that is I don't know. But that came from a reliable source of mine.

Once again, find where I said I agree with the hire.. sheesh!

I just don't think your team gonna be any good. You barely got to Houston last year and now you don't have a QB, yet you on here smackin. Oh well. we shall see. Jackson State football is Jackson State football. When **** was in charge, he ran everything. This does not remotely compare.
 
At 260K, hiring Tony Hughes from Mississippi State would have made more sense. Tony Hughes is from Forest, MS. So, he knows the Jackson area. He already knows the high school coaches in Mississippi. He knows the players that are available in Mississippi. He's up to date on compliance issues including APR. And he's a coach that could help them build a sound football program that could possibly move out of SWAC and make the dome seem like a reasonable venture.

But, nooooooooooooo! Not JSU. They had to screw up this hire on a grand scale. Let's make a hire that makes no sense whatsoever and tell people this was the plan all along and they got just what they wanted.

You all are basing your WHOLE outlook on next season on the fact that you beat JSU a game that may or may not have meant anything to JSU. What about the rest of your season when you lost to AlaState and AAMU? Good thing you played two sorry schools to inflate your record.

Stop. Jenkins cancelled his interview (never was coming), yall didn't go after Maynor hard. These are two top HBCU coaches. You said Hughes from Ms State that a lot of folks were high on didn't like what yall had. I assume he didn't like the facilities. You had Nix on the list, don't know what happened to him. Shannon either. So it was going to take more than just money for some of them cats it seems.

Nah this is the old school BBA running things. I can imagine exactly which ones were behind the Jackson hiring. This was a blow to every JSU alum under 50 that is close to the program and does work to help. Basically them over 60 cats told yall to go sit down in a corner, we got this. Must have told Meyers and Viv that too or coerced them into it with something in return. I would have thought the Queen would bring somebody in from somewhere else. Oh well. I wish yall luck. My kinfolks are hurt and disgusted at the crib.

Whatever you say TP. Before the start of the 2013-14 season, I'm sure you were one of the mafia folks that said Southern would be dead last in the SWAC. It seems like y'all were completely wrong on that.

Why ya'll tryna figure this out for JSU. Go home now and worry about ya'll schools. Our ADMINS chose to pay him $260K. Deal with it. If they wanted to pay someone else the $260K, they would have. Now go smoke on that.
