Nah... I could see if it was their idea but it was not their idea so they can easily say.. we did it your way.. it failed.. let's try something else.

However, you don't fire a coach after one season. The Old Man can go 3-9 this year and he will still be at JSU next year. Firing him might be an option next year...

..and who cares? I bet 95% of that 700 are not even active JSU alums. If that 700 want to matter, they each need to donate $100 to pay the buyout. Ask them for that and they will take their name off the list.. :lol:

If JSU were to fire Jackson, who would JSU consider for the job? I know alot of ppl would be interested, but who would JSU be interested in?

Are there any young / fairly young JSU grads coaching at non-SWAC at schools? I'm sure everyone wants a "Fobb-like" coach.

A Fobbs-like coach? Last week, people wanted a Hopson like coach.

But the answer it we don't have anyone we are interested in.

Besides, we have coaches. If anything, the DC might need to be replaced at the end of the season.

A "Fobbs-like coach" is a young assistant coaching outside the SWAC with ties your school. For instance, if Destry Wright or Sylvester Morris was an assistant coach somewhere, I would be interested in pursuing him.

But you answered.

Dude, if we are slow then that means that you are stuck in park. You can't admit that this is a bad hire. Jackson has not beaten a good team and should be 1-6

Destroy Wright is our RB coach.

Rich Caster (He may be too young for the Queen)
Gloster Richardson (wasn't he a WR also)
Ben McGee (at least he was a head coach before)
Jimmy Hollifield (One of my high school coaches)
John Brodie (for the Alcorn effect)

This is so funny. We're bus tossing a coach who is 3-4 halfway through his first season.

nah.. the OC is fine. It's the DC... but the DC swears that once he gets a good d-line that his system will work. Also, many people have complained (even before the start of the season that the defense is too complicated.. and unnecessarily so.) Comegy didn't leave any d-linemen for a 34 defense. We have a converted TE from last year, a RS freshman, etc.. on the d-line. Our DEs from last year are now LBs. Our D-line is too inexperienced and our secondary was some patchwork. The secondary does have some very good first string talent tho...but I think they get confused by the sets.. on the play against Valley, they were simply out of position and on a play vs PV, the safety was not even on the field. It's just mass confusion with that defense. The offense may not be ideal but it puts up points. It would put up more points if we could get the ball back 2-3 more times....

For the record....Odums didn't turn around Stumps situation, he continued what he had started and saw it thru....We still are a long way from where we want to be, and if we don't find some real offensive and defensive play calling we will never get there....Now thats our WHOLE truth...

Dude, wins can cover up some bad playcalling. I like Comegy. I even think he can be considered as a BCF legend. He has a NAIA National Championship, SIAC Championships, BCF National Championships and a SWAC Championship. Not many can say that.. BUT Comegy don't know schitt about football. He wins with talent. When I say SU was a bad team last year, I mean it. We knew JSU had a bad team last year and we fired Comegy for it. You all made a mistake by extending Worm's contract. Worm MIGHT be a decent HC but our only hope is that he will get rid of his coordinators... Comegy does not have the good sense to ever do that...
