Tony Hughes being named Head Coach for JSU would great for JSU. As stated earlier, Hughes is an excellent recruiter. One Small Problem However.......

How will Hughes be able to recruit Mississippi kids for JSU when Jackson, MS itself continues to get a bad rap within the State from both Whites and Blacks?

This will be Tony's main obstacle in regards to recruiting in Mississippi in my opinion.

Tony is a excellent recruiter. He can get Mississippi Dandy Dozen players to JSU. But in order to get those players to come, he will not only have to sell JSU but also sell Jackson, MS Itself.

It think it is always important to recruit as much in-state FIRST than branch out of the state.

Why does he have to sell Jackson, Ms? If you from Ms, Jackson is the CITY. LOL. Which means more to do than whatever country town you from.

JSU don't have a hard time selling kids to come there as students. Who will have more time than an athlete to be worrying about what Jackson has to offer. LMAO.

The toughest sell for Hughes is getting surrounding Jackson area kids to stay home as they may just want to get away. But them country kids from the State shouldn't be a hard sell.

Getting kids to Lorman is a bigger problem. JSU has never had a problem recruiting.

Really? J state aint the j state of old period. Its not a job where known coaches is trying to knock down the door and get. I believe j state is its on worst enemy because yall really believe yall r the best but your not. Rick Comegy should still b there but because yall think yall the best yall fired him. Carma is a mothersucker and yall about to get it!!

We have good coaches wanting to come here - including your HC. Well I wouldn't call Big Worm a good coach but still.

Comegy was fired for personal reasons between him and that athletic director. They were wrong for letting a winning coach go but we have had our repayment the last 2 yrs. It can't last forever. Sometimes people abuse power being in charge and that's what she did by firing him instead of seeing him as a winning coach and putting personal feelings aside. I think we will be back to our winning ways again soon because the talent is always there(just a few missing pieces) and if our next coach lights a fire under their asses it won't take long. Actually no one in the swac right now is actually a real powerhouse like the old days so it won't be hard.

Why u and others feel Comegy should still be our coach?Doesn't JSU or any school have the right to move on? Harold Jackson was a horrible hire!!!! Now is our time to right the ship!!!! Any of these candidates would be an upgrade

J state aint as talented as u think they r. Alcorn is the powerhouse right now! From the schedule ive seen of yalls i just dont know.

You can continue to wait cuz comedy wouldn't win ish. We good where we at. You basically basing stuff off of nothin which you have no proof behind because if we were honest no team is how it was in the 80s & 90s. I understand you went to SU and hate JSU but don't base it off of personal feelings cuz if that's the case, SU dam sure ain't where they should be. Them niggas suck all kinds of ass lol. We finished in the same place as yall. No need to argue about that.
