Fantasia Barrino has been pretty busy the last couple of years. There’s the reality show, the affair with married man, Antwaun Cook, Antwaun’s wife finding out and suing the American Idol singer for damages, a suicide attempt, a highly publicized abortion, followed by a highly publicized new pregnancy — and now this.

With all the above on her plate, Mahalia Jackson’s family doesn’t think she’s right to play the singer in the biopic, Mahalia!, that was set to be complete by Fall 2012.

I guess Mahalia Jackson's family think Fantasia is trashy. I can't understand how Antwaun Cook could lay with someone that looks like Fantasia. They say "If you lay with dogs you will get up with fleas". I guess Antwaun Cook wears a flea collar and uses flea power?

I'm tempted to call her a stank hoe...because of the fact that that she is liking too many people and all the abortions and she never seems to have the right one hence they always leave after the episodes :noidea:!

I'm going to be nice today. Not gonna say anything bad about Fantasia. Other than to say I agree that she shouldn't play Mahalia.

Fantasia was on Wendy Williams (by telephone). She stated she was approached for this role around October 2010. She started gaining weight and preparing for the role (i.e. watching film). She was later informed that the money for the project fell through. She never heard from them after that. There were never any contracts signed.

Tom Joyner talked about this one day last week. Some of his texters suggested Jennifer Holiday, Jennifer Hudson, another former contestant from American Idol (forgot her name), Queen Latifah (but she's a lesbian) as potential Mahalia's. All of them sounded pretty good to replace Fantasia if she doesn't get the role.

Anybody that is in the entertainment industry that is picked will have their faults. You can't name one person in Hollywood that can live up to the moral code of Mrs Jackson. Hollywood is skankville now.

But as for FANTASIA.
We told ya'll she was a str8 hoodrat when she lied about trying to commit suicide and then lied about screwing ole boy she pregnant by now. How is a woman gonna say she not screwing a man when she has that mans name tatted on her tit for the world to see. :lol:

I'm glad Mahalia's family is speaking out. Its one thing not to know...its a whole nother ballpark when the person picked openly, publicly continues to fugg up and pretty much is saying **middlefanga** to her detractors...and they STILL pick her...get an unknown with a powerful voice.

Mahalia Jackson's estate/family spoke out on TJMS last week and said they never had an issue with Fantasia playing the part and still don't. Fantasia's business is her business and not their place to get involved.

They didnt' even know she was chosen for the role until after the fact.

Then I heard...the producers of the movie apologized to Fantasia b/c her name has been dragged through the mud and basically she's done nothing wrong.
