This is almost a master class on defensive basketball. When you look at it, its how the Pistons played Jordan that actually helped him develop a great mid-range game and put him in the weight room. He had to lift weights to better prepare himself for the physical beating, but also get that mid-range jumper working so that he wouldn't have to take that beating. Pippen the same way.

Also, Zeke's people from Vicksburg, they moved to Chicago.

Naaaa... ESPN did a special on the 20th anniversary of the Dream Team and it showed that Jordan didn't like Isiah and kept him off the team.

I mean it was an obvious choice when it came to selection time but still wrong.

I'm sure no one would have missed Christian Laetner if they kept him off. I agree with JR tho. If Jordan had some real dirt on him outside of being a lowdown a-hole it would have came out by now... :lol:

Read that this morning. Add Pippen to that list as well. Heard it was due to after Chicago eliminatedDetroit in the 92 ECF, Zeke left the court. Walked right by the Bulls bench and didn't offer any congrats.

I do remember when the Celtics beat the Pistons a few years before that, it was Zeke that congratulated McHale and Bird.

John Starks would not survive in today's NBA. Gary Payton would not be the glove. Steve Kerr would not be on a roster. Stockton nope. Drexler was overrated too. BJ Armstrong, you kidding me. Spudd Webb? (80's I know)

Hell, even Ron Harper 6'6 self would be on someone's bench. Kevin Johnson would get eaten up too. The strength of that era was the big men.

The only 3 I would pull from that list is KJ, Stockton and GP. GP may have been a trash talker, but the only PG he would prolly have issues with would be Rondo. Maybe Rose and Westbrook.

I would posterize guys like Dan Majerle and Kurt Rambis, what do you think Carmello or Lebron would do to those guys if they played back then? They all had a hand in it. Jordan just took the fall for Zeke not being added. Folks have to remember Daley who was Isiah's coach in Detroit was the Olympic coach.

The bottom line is although Thomas was deserving to be on that team based on his accomplishments. He had alienated himself with Magic, Bird, and even Karl Malone didn't like him. You know Jordan and Pippen didn't care for him so he got blacklisted. Malone was the one who busted Zeke's head open with an elbow. Magic and Bird had just as much hand in Thomas not making that team as Jordan did. MJ was just took all of the blame for it. After watching that Dream Team special. Those cats were all cool. Meaning they formed some friendships. Some were already running buddies. Thomas was just not that cool with them dudes. You never hear any of them talk about him either. Well except Magic when he did that book. I do agree that he was one of the greatest PGs of all time.

Pops, what are smoking? Mchale was one of the elite post players of his generation. Jeff Hornacek might not have been the most athletic guard around, but the guy was a solid offensive player for the Suns and Jazz.

Greg Anthony and Derek Harper were solid on-ball defenders. As far as them not being able to crack a SWAC starting lineup, you do realize Greg Anthony was the starting PG on those great UNLV teams in the early 90s, right?
