Then if we beat your team once and went into OT with them the second time, that should tell you about your own team.

We knew we needed to improve. SU may not have realized that yet and that is why I can't see SU beating AlaState, PV, JSU, ULL, NWState, or Alcorn.

That is VERY true! :lol:

However, I am just giving my opinion. I think SU is going to drop a tiny bit while, in my opinion, Alcorn, Valley, AAMU, AlaState, JSU and PV will improve. SU won games last year by the skin of their teeth. They don't have room to drop off. By mid-season, SU might be okay but you all have too many pivital early season games to not have a QB. Your September is harsh with trips to ULL, PV and Alcorn. Then you have NWState. If you all got to start off with Central Methodist, TXSo, UAPB, and even Valley/AAMU, i could see you all doing well. I just don't think you all will be ready for that Sept schedule. I think September is easily 1-4 for ya'll. ..and Im not smacking!

I've come to the conclusion the jsu guys really don't know football. We have our entire Offensive Line returning, They all where freshman and sophomores last year. One of them first team and two second team ALL-SWAC. The game against them last year jsu's Dlineman could not do anything but belly rub with our Oline. They got stoned all game. This means the running lanes we created last year will be similar...and the pass protection will be similar as well. Jackson St. had NO answer for us offensively. We had 45 on them with 7:30 left to go in the game. This is with us playing protection type football. They are a completely delusional fan base. That's cool but it just doesn't make much sense when you aren't on the Smack Board.

The Sports Board requires some knowledge of X's & O's and that is something they just don't have.


The Journalist (SU poster) made some excellent points. Walker was a bull last year & may be missed. I think Alcorn has enough to replace him. Regarding our Dline...they can improve but our entire 2ndary is back. They are very good and sound. I disagree about the ballhawks. The coverage is there...if the pressure improves you will see more standout ballhawks. TP should be quiet on this issue when his QB threw like 4 picks against us.

Dude....WHAT are you talking about? History doesn't lie. You haven't won the East in what....14 years, yet you have the nerve to thump your chest? Are you kidding me?
You guys can't even get past Bama State and AAMU. Those are two East schools. JSU is only one East school, but we've owned the East for the past five years.
If history is an accurate barometer, Alcorn may be decent, but as usual they won't finish the deal. You NEVER finish the deal no matter what kind of talent you have. That's just who you are.
Heck, you'll have problems with the Bamas again and you may not be able to get past Valley in Itta Bena.
Your odds of beating JSU for two straight seasons is below the Mendoza line, so again, your chances of finishing third or fourth is HIGHLY likely. That's based on recent logical history over the past six or seven years.

What good is have one winning season in six years? I'd rather have at least a chance of winning the title than NO chance at all, especially no chance at all in ten....yes TEN whole long years.:smh:

We have at least ONE SCG title. You can't even brag on having ONE East title. LOL!
Now that speaks major volumes.

I'd rather be the team who at least had the opportunity to go to the championship and play for the title than one whose at home or in the stands watching the game.
I wonder if the Broncos were mad because they made it to the Super Bowl. I wonder if the Steelers were mad they made it to the Super Bowl when they played Green Bay. No and No. Now try and win your first East title before approaching the big boys of the East.
