In Search Of The Face Of SWAC Football

Is that so and who are you with the so called ultimate say so, you lack clout, even Alcorn peeps don't claim you, so who in the hell gonna believe you? Do you exist? Seems to me that many don't realize what the Face of a Conference entails.

:lmao::lmao:

Now, if you're using this season coming, Casey is the easy choice. And P88 is a PV alum.

As for a historical face, I can't see any one person being it. Has to be a select group.

Bruh fo real... only ppl speak of this dude is them J-State clowns...
when I first heard about this dude was when we played them and that was in Week 5 or 6 lol
dude is only famous around the campus of Jackson State University... dude don't get no shine outside of Jackson lol fo real...

Alcorn is like...at least for us...when I look at the schedule..I have to look twice to see if they're on there or not.. like Valley.. lol.. and I'll be like dayum "oh we playing them" lol

The SWAC will never, NEVER, NNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, have another Face of the SWAC. The Last Face of the SWAC was McNair with Bruce Eugene making somewhat of push but NOWHERE near McNair's Magnitude. Pete had a chance for a PERFECT TEAM to be the face of the SWAC in 2003 but we all know how that story ended....:D. Matter of fact, Alcorn vs. SU hasn't turned out well for SU.

Back to the Topic, McNair was and always will be the Last Face of the SWAC. The SWAC doesn't possess that magnitude anymore. Sorry, just facts.

Lol
what is this dude talking about...dude yall just snapped a 5 or 6 game losing streak last year huh lol

Lmao again...why yall JS-ers keep slapping that dude name up there... lmao

First of all, Panther88 is from P. View.
2nd..........Who would you put up there since JSU make you want to shat on yourself everytime someone mentions the name.

For real..........WHO?
Leave out your usual JStank and anti-Jackson bullshat and answer the question cause I really want to know your choices. :noidea:

The SWAC has so much history, especially in Football, that you can't single out one player or coach.

I'm still waiting on the 2 smacking stoogies of this thread to post their choices.

Me personally, these days, ain't no face of the SWAC cause ain't NOBODY done shat to warrent it. THESES DAYS, you say SWAC to the rest of FCS and mofo's will laugh at you..........Bottom line. But negros here actually think they sitting at the top of the FCS football heap. :smh:

This is current events, not past. Who is the most influential coach/player in the SWAC right now? Out of the player and coach which is the most influential/popular? Not rocket science.:read:

I guarantee when someone thinks SWAC, Casey isn't the first person they think of. Are some that naive?:emlaugh:

For the 2011 season, name a SWAC player getting more run than Casey.

In all reality.........FCS football gets laughed at by the masses. Just listen to the national talking heads in sports. Everybody is so enamored with FBS ball it aint even funny. I will still say Doug gets more run than anybody in the SWAC. When he went back to Grambling......it was a Sportscenter story. The rest of our schools could change coaches and it may make the scroller on the bottom. So he is the face of the SWAC when it comes to who is known. And Grambling football still has the biggest name in the SWAC. Even though the SWAC is down compared to the glory years. Folks aint laughing at Gram like talking about when discussing football current or past. I have had too many discussions with them other folks and they know who Grambling is. But like I said.......everyone in FCS is looked down upon. Unless you are a FCS grad. We know most of these college fans aint been to no one's college so they all follow the big boys. You can't get into any discussions with normal folks about FCS ball. They think we are all D-2. LOL. Folks think Romo came from a D2 school and not FCS. Go to the chat boards and look at the comments sometimes. That let's me know FCS ball aint really isht in the grand scheme of things. That's why I always agree with TP on that we should have moved up when we had a better infrastructure. Every good FCS school with any means is trying to bounce up.

I give you that, he's getting a buzz but the season will tell if he lives up to that buzz. Never know what can happen. Just last year no one was getting more buzz than Christian Anthony but afterwards he had heart problems and the rest is history.:read:

Hands down it's Doug Williams, some are just allowing their alliance with their school to permit them from saying it but, truth is only truth. Dude at JSU is good but he's far from the face of the SWAC.

How many snaps will Doug take this year? How many points will he score? How many TD's will he score? Zero, zero and zero. Nobody gives a damn about a coach. We're talking about current players.

As far as players are concerned, Therriault is head and shoulders the face of the SWAC right now.

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The race for the 2011 Walter Payton Award, sponsored by Fathead.com, kicked off July 11 with The Sports Network's announcement that six returning finalists from last season headline a stellar 20-player Watch List for the Football Championship Subdivision's top individual honor.

Jackson State senior quarterback Casey Therriault was among the six returning finalists from last season added to the Walter Payton Award watch list.

Therriault accounted for 41 touchdowns (31 passing, 10 rushing) and was third in the FCS in passing yards per game (312.4) and total offense (327.8 ypg).
