Ignorance or Stupidity??

if bcu show was done no i dont see a issue. Jsu did it to su before. Su have did it to jsu even valley to jsu. If the show is done then why not play? Alcorn played baby come to me at gsu when their show was done. I seen bands on the field when the other band was on the field now that's ignorance! Im sure miles didn't play to over due bcu they just played the SWAC do it all the time.

There is no doubt Miles lacked discipline. If the event was outdoors, I would have left it at that. However, when you are indoors with 20 rows, with your backs against the wall, and you are outnumbered almost 2-1, I have to question your reasoning. The only reason that I included ignorance as an option was in the offing that Miles might not play in a dome that often.

Lord, lol. I sign on and find out that Southern University invited the cape! lolol. Happy Black History Month.

Uh NT, nobody from SU said that. One of your own said HS in Jackson were imitating us with capes. We all said not the case.

BTW, I see we got a MC Jaguar to head SU's way.

JPS uses one vendor for all of the HS band uniforms now..... So the styles are all simliar. Hell, maybe the vendor threw in capes as a bonus......

But I'd doubt the capes were ordered because the Southern University Marching Band has them.....

Homie, don't know why your fellow Tiger thought our High Schools in Jackson were SU influenced. LOL. Heck the capes are not even the same style capes. Honestly I have not seen anyone with those capes like that outside of New Orleans High Schools before Katrina hit. I think Kennedy HS had them back in the day. They looked the most like SU of any HS I have seen. But you expect that with the HS band directors in that area being mostly SU grads. You already know C'way wasn't thinking about the "S" when they got them uniforms. LOL.

JR, can u stay focused...? lol. Who's the MC Jag? Is it Williams? He's one of the youth at my church. He'd mentioned to me he was considering SU.

Yeah, I hear ya home-bean...

Between Dowell Taylor and 'Smokin Joe' Mitchell, ain't no way any meaningful SU influence would ever take root at 601 Beasley Road...... Hell, when I was at Callaway (when Mitchell came in '85), we got more Boom music than we could play.... All of our arrangements said SIVAD, P.Adams, R. Thomas, D.Taylor, C. Leggette and even a few Byron Gregorys....

:D:D

Ain't that 'bout something? You see that only happened because I haven't been there. lol. Wait til I get back to Jackson.

I was just pulling SU's leg. I'm former C-way myself but when I was there they were still playing Broadway and Send in the Clown or whatever those songs were. Even back then the drum lines where straight JSU imitations.

By the way dacont...I'd say a lack of respect and decency. I wouldn't say ignorance because they knew what they were doing. Stupidity would probably be more apt but it seems harsh though.
