I present to you the dumbest comment ever made by a head coach (Doug Williams)

There is so much love in this thread.
:emlaugh::lol::emlaugh::lol:

I'm getting emotionally choked up with all this love. I'm really beginning to feel this G-thing. The G-thing is real. The spirit of the legend lives on.

It's not a bash, and this is not the smack board, this is not an instance where one can speak for ALL Gramblinites. How the hell can a coach speak about Coach Rob if he has never coached or played for him. A person can ONLY speak of his/her experience.

It's one thing to have school pride, but its another to have dumb pride. How the hell can we ask for someone to respect "the G" and what it represents but yet don't have the common courtesy of respecting the the coach and his personal experiences.

And now we have a coach in place who claims to be all about "the G" but publicly says in so many words, "Fugg any G-nite who isn't down with me".

Child please!

I wanna' thank my PV brethren for letting me back in, although half of them think I'm really crazy. And, if I am mentally disturbed, I'm mentally disturbed because of the purple/gold blood in my veins. :| I just want(ed) better because better is achievable. But, w/out understanding what a "process" and "self-accountability" are, PV will never move forward (athletically) and will continue in the exact same status quo as it was 20yrs ago. A few wins here/there for fball doth NOT a program make. :read: Tennis, softball, golf, swimming lol, hell, all that.

Hey td1908, I'm with you sweetie. You can't be a G-nite if you are not feeling the G-thang.

The same way Melvin Spears did. Only jackasses don't honor Coach Rob, whether they coached for him or not. Steve Spurrier my sweet azz. Let me help you and Broadway out......Eddie Robinson, Jake Gaither, John Merritt, Marino Casem, A. W. Mumford, Billy Nicks, Harry Carson, Willie Jeffries (first black head coach ever at a PWC and former GSU AD). LEGENDS. Worthy to be researched and quoted to a team of college football players.

Child, please. You betta ask somebody.

And regarding your reference to what the current coach said, you got your coaches mixed up, man. Those words are what Broadway actually told you, in your face and to the media.

Damn SOG..... Broadway pulled a "Comegy/Beans" on you???? This thread just keeps getting Better and Better.

Does anyone else except me and td1908 feel that G-thang? Even Fred Sanford on Sanford & Son knew about that G-thang. Fred "G" Sanford - the "G" stands for that G-thang.

I don't give a fugg what Doug says....he losing...and we mad!!! His first season when he got here he was 5-6 when Coach Rob's previous season was 3-8... I hold Doug accountable for the team losing and in my opinion he is not taking a humble stance. It comes off as arrogant and cocky versus...."Damn if I keep losing I may not have a job" or "Fans please hang in there I'm making mistakes and we are going to fix this" or "I need to instill more pride in my players."

See and that is the problem right there. Doug is manipulating the situation. I look at Doug as being a piece of Grambling. I look at Coach Rob the same way. Pieces that made GSU great. Neither walked on water but I respect their contributions. I mean Doug did something athletically to help GSU but a ton of students do tons of things academically for the university as well.

For Doug to say that there are different alumni and we should just accept the situation is crazy.

Would he have had this attitude if he was the head coach of Air Force?

That's right!

And like I said:

I guess I can understand this, coming from non-Gnites. Let me help you out. LEGENDS are created at the "G", beginning with the True Legend himself, the "Maestro of Football", Eddie G. Robinson. So Gramblinites don't need to hear about Steve Spurrier and nobody else. We're not impressed. We had the "Maestro". The man who took almost nothing and made something Great out of it.

Child, please.

but didnt yall Gramblingnites dogg the piss out of the Legend towards the end of his career and backdoored him out of the job after all he did for yall. Didnt yall have that same great Legend buying a ticket to get in a game. Just dirty folks I tell ya. Po Broadway smh.
