I need some party suggestions

What are some indoor games, kids can play, at a 9 year old's party? I know about Pin the Tail on the Donkey, but what else? I've gotta do some quick re-planning, for my son's party, on Saturday. It may rain on this w/e, and we may have to bring the party inside.

When my ex's nephew turned 4 I paid for a Magician with a Monkey to come and entertain the kids.

Great idea, but that may be too expensive, for my budget...especially, at this last minute. I'm buying him a 14 foot trampoline, w/the security kit for his birthday, and paying for the party, so that's got me pretty much broke. :D

I'm just looking for something entertaining, YET inexpensive, for them to do, for an hour, in the house, if they can't go outside, on the trampoline.
 
Not sure at what age we did this...

But we always played this game where my parents would fill up a big tub full of water and we would have to "dunk" for apples.
They would put the apples in the tub and tie our hands behind our backs. We would get on our knees and try to drunk for the apples with our mouths. We had fun playing the game but I'm sure it was a mess to clean up.

good idea...I have a covered patio, in my backyard, so that will work...thank you. :tup:
 
When I was a kid, we would play musical chairs, and some parents would have a pinata (sp), along with "Pin The Tail On The Donkey."

You may also want some boys against girls things for prizes. We'd play games like name that tune, dance contest, sharade's (sp), or if you have a Karaoke machine, you could let them have a American Idol sort of contest. We used to do the talent show thing, and it was fun.

I still remember being James Brown at just about every party I went to.

Spoon, the sad thing is I can still do the split, but dayum I pay for it weeks after doing it. The knee's just ain't what they used to be.:lol:

While I don't have the knee troubles....
I can't hit the ground and "float" back to my feet quite like I used to! :look: :lol:

Dude I used to do the Michael Jackson on my toes thing...man I do that now...I'm goin have swollen ankles for 5 months.

I aint gonna lie...One time I was on the dance floor and dropped it like it was hot. I felt my dayum knew pop and I aint been fully functional since then. :lol:

Can us Dallas folks crash the party and turn it into an Adult party? I can bring the Card Table, beer and Dominos.

Damn that's right, I am going to FAMU this weekend.

Yeah the bobbing for apples is a good game. 3 Legged race, egg on the spoon race.

Let's see what else...you could cut some pictures out of a magazine and make a puzzle and pass them out to each child and have them to try to find the other pieces to the puzzle. Divide them up in groups of 4's.

You may want to re-think that idea because of liability problems. I bet your home owners insurance may change if they knew about it. It's so dangerous with those things even with the net.

yes, MY SON loves board games...he and I play, all the time. I think we'll be fine, w/all the suggestions you guys/gals have given me, today. It's only an hour, that the kids will actually be playing, anyway. The 2nd hour of the party is for them to eat pizza, sing Happy Birthday to Devin, have cake/ice cream, then Devin opens gifts. After that, it's time for them to get their goody bags, and go home...well, they ain't gotta go home, but they've gotta leave my residence. :D

Schit, how about getting low with somebody who was dropping it like it was hot, only to have your knees give out, and you have to catch yourself from falling, while letting the other person hit the ground?
