I just got out the joint...

Suge

The Phat Mack
Did ya miss me?

Ole Suge just got home from being on lockdown...in the hospital since Thursday! I have been offcially diagnosed with diabetes! That's right, Suge has Sugar! I wasn't going to post this, but I remember a few years back when Kenn posted that he too had diabetes, and a few others as well.....

But my main reason was to encourage those of you who have a history of diabetes in your family, or if you have been gaining some pounds as the years move along, to go and get your blood glucose levels checked. Especially the brothers....

I suffered all the classic symptoms the last to weeks(frequent unrination, severe thirst, dehydration, dizzy, fatigue, headache, nausea) yet didn't make a trip to the Doctor's office until Thursday and my levels were wll over 1,000, and I went straight from the Drs. office to the ER. All is well now. I feel 100% better than I had been feeling, and will be strictly following this diet etc. So that I can get off these insulin shots in the new few weeks/months.

Go see your doctor.

Take care of yourself Suge!

We need ya hear to keep us womenfolk in check.

Make sure you follow a strict diet. And exercise so you can get off of the insulin. :D

Dang Suge!! Be careful man and be thankful that you decided to go to the doctor! over 1000????!!!!!!!!!! I am glad YOU were able to make this post instead of someone on your behalf!

Start working out with those youngsters you coach!!!

Dude, I am so glad that you're doing better and decided to go to the doctor's office before it was too late. I know how you feel about your doctor after the last visit and diet. Well, I glad that you're back to normal, now let's get down to business.....................

There is just too much love going on that other thread. Dude, you need to step up or something.

GOOD LORD?! 1,000?!

I'm SO glad you're okay! Take care of yourself, and do WHATEVER your doctor tells you to do!

I get mine checked EVERY time I go to the doctor, because that monster runs RAMPANT in my family. I'm also aware of the signs, so I keep CLOSE WATCH on what is happening to my body.

Take care, playa ... We, as well as the wife, Rufus, and Chaka Khan, need ya around ... :)

Take care of yourself, frat. I, too, have diabetes. You will manage it.

"The Sugah" a.k.a. diabetes is very prevalent in the Black community as we all know. Probably most everyone on TSP has someone in their family diagnosed with diabetes.

Take care of yourself home boy.

I'm glad that you are feeling better. Take care of yourself and you'll be insulin-free before you know it.

Take care of yourself, 'ol man!

Like so many other illnesses, African-Americans have high cases of diabetes, but many are doing fine and living normal, active lives.

I have a sister that is "diabetical" as she jokingly refers to it, but she manages her diet and sticks to her prescribed medication.

All of us probably have some form or it, and just haven't been diagnosed yet.

You go be ahhiiite Nupe!!!

Y.I.T.B. !!!

I told you years ago to let go of the "TightArseShirt" Campaign. But Noooooooooooooooooooooo..... You had to go and get the doctors involved to make you the official champ of the "TightArseShirts". You should've known that it wasn't worth it when Kenn jumped ship. Now, I gotta hear yall whinin' about not being able to eat this and that......

They just don't make brotha's like they used to.....:shame:

Hope you're doing better - follow your doctors advice. I joined WW last yr. cause I could see where I was headed & diabetes scares me (not to mention I'm scared of needles.)

LMAO @ Mike. Man I was up and down with the weight. I would drop 40-50 and then relax and gain it back. But this time it got me. And now I have no choice but to keep at it. No rest for the weary........the new treadmill will be here soon. Tight shirts may be a thing of the past for the phat mack!! Plus the wife watches my arse like a hawk......

Thanks for all the well wishes gang, but I am okay. I have motivation, goals, etc. Plus I love my wife too much to make her a young widow. I guess I just needed a harder slap to get me to see the big picture.

Hard brothers can give themselves a shot!:lmao:
