I’ve heard some rumblings the Commerce might move up to join old rivals in the Southland, but those same rumblings said Sam is looking to move up to FBS too.

Wow! This is the first time I've heard about Commerce possibly making the move up. And if they do, they'd be the only FCS program in the North Texas region with direct access to DFW recruits.

Grambling, Southern, PV, and sTu... you missed a SUPREME opportunity to have a STRONG fcs foothold in that north texas market area for recuits, after the oklst, ou, ut-austin, aTm-b/cs, nebraskas, notre dames, et al raid first.

I think that is where we (HBCU's) miss out by letting our good alum coaches cut their teeth at lower/mid level PWC's because we don't give them a chance and we can never lure them back after they do well and move up...

Dude we have talent on both sides of the ball. We need a QB just like pretty much everyone else and we could use some help on the Oline and maybe two transfers in the secondary since we are young there. Our biggest problem was Hughes tho. I wouldn't be surprised if I saw a change this week.
