I Can't Take It Any More!!!

Come on now, during that time period we were 1-5 against quite a few teams(Grambling, UAPB, PV, etc..). During that time period, we were 31-35. We were 39-47 between 2005-2012. It was a very bad period for SU, and many teams took advantage of it.

Dude you are traditionally a bad team. ..and Im not worried about who else you were 1-5 against. LOL

TP in the grand scheme of things. Nobody remembers what you did in the regular season if you don't get that ring. You have to follow up that consistency of the great records with multiple titles. Every Franchise in the NFL would trade having multiple 12-4 seasons and no rings for a SB ring and 4 losing seasons surrounding it. That one SB would trump all of that. Ask the San Diego Chargers all the years they had great records and no rings. Same for KC under Marty. All this consistency is all fine and dandy. But what it also says is that you can't win the big one even though you have the wins every year during the season. Championships trump seasons. Nobody is going to remember the Patriots almost went undefeated a few years ago. Folks will always remember they didn't win the SB. The Giants have had subpar seasons in between their SBs. But no one will remember. They would gladly take those than not to have the SB wins they have. I bet the Patriots would trade that consistency for those 2 losses they had against them in the SB. I bet Tom Brady shole would rather have 5 rings instead and few losing seasons than all these winning seasons and the 3 rings he got now.

Look how they are doing Lebron and the Heat now. You would think they lost all 4 NBA Finals the way the media is doing them. So nobody 20 years from now will remember Comegy and JSU won all these games in the regular season. What they will remember is he only won 1 title and lost 3. That's how it is. Ask Peyton Manning. LOL.

So I will take the 1-5 against JSU from 06-2011 because hell we were 1-5 against a lot of teams. But the bottom line is we won against JSU when all the marbles were on the line. All I know whether it is 1999 or 2013. When SU has met JSU in the SCG. We are 2-0. That's all history is going to be worried about. When the title was on the line, SU delivered. Hell we are a bad pass away from being 4-0 in the SCG. But I will take 3-1.

JR... people know that JSU is a WINNER. That's our legacy. When people think of JSU, Comegy or whatever, all they gonna think about is how much we win. Heck, they might give us 2-3 titles in their head.

TP, you say that like it's not true. Are you shame of only winning 1 championship in 17 years? It is what it is. It's just a reality check that you guys haven't won more championships than over half of the conference in that time frame. That isn't a reach but a fact. I don't think you all made a very good decision to replace Comegy. It will be quite a while before you all win another, IMHO. My guess is Valley will probably win one before you all do again (that is not good for the conference).

Im not ashamed of the last 17 years of JSU football. We have accomplished more than most teams.. including SU.

Most of the time I think about jsu football the James Bell error comes to mind and I start laughing. The "give 2-3 titles in their head" is some funny stuff as well. :emlaugh:

Grambling Coaches vs JSU since 2000
Doug Willaims 5-2
Melvin Spears 2-0
Broadway 5-1
Ragsdale 0-1

12 - 4

No matter how u spin it, Grambling has dominated JSU

Dude, that's already been noticed. All you can talk about is the past but your basketball program, your baseball program, your current football team all have one thing in common. They're in shambles.
If my team had gone 1-21 over the last two years, I'd be smart enough to keep my mouth closed. Heck, you don't even know if your team will win one game this year.

Hogwash. The Patriots haven't won anything in almost half a decade but they're still competitive. su went like the last six out of ten years with losing records. I understand why you wanna forget that, but I won't let you.
And since you wanna go back to 1999, why not go back to pre-Pete when su didn't win a title in almost 25 whole years. Now let that marinate.
If you can talk about going 2-0 in the SCG, surely I can talk about those 23 years of futility and being losers more times than not over the last ten years for su.

But JSU has been #1 of the Big 3 since 2004

1. (SWAC Championship) JSU
2. (SWAC Championships) SU
3. (SWAC Championships) GSU

JSU has been thee single most stable team and franchise in the SWAC over the last ten years. At least we do have something to shoot for come December while eight other teams are at home.

He acts like SWAC football only started with the SCG. From 1970 to 1993, su had ZERO SWAC titles outright. Now THAT'S as embarassing as anything JSU can offer. That's at least 23 years them ninjas couldn't win it. LOL!! 23 YEARS!!

This coming from Mr. "3-6 against JSU :snicker:" and Comegy has beat SU 6 times out of 9?

Since you wanna dip in, what's JSU's record over the last ten years versus su?:snicker:

Looks like you seem to think that JSU football started after 2006

Pot meet kettle....

Most of the time I think about jsu football the James Bell error comes to mind and I start laughing. The "give 2-3 titles in their head" is some funny stuff as well. :emlaugh:

Man, when it was happening I laughed at lot at first. Toward the end I actually started to feel sorry for JSU.

I have a feeling another "error" is about to begin. No feeling sorry for them this time. :smh:

Dude, you have no concept of what I am saying. Nobody is going to care if the Patriots win regular season games every year in 20 years. LOL. History is not going to evaluate them on 12-4 seasons. They will evaluate them on SB titles. Like I said, ask Brady would he like all these consistent years or 2 more rings to pass Joe Montana and Bradshaw. He would take several losing seasons for those 2 SB rings. So would Belichek. Nobody cares about all that. That is what I am saying about JSU. Nobody including your own fans will remember seasons that ended with no titles.

You can harp on the time in between titles all you want about SU. Good thing ACE Mumford won enough to allow us to have that time in between. Even then SU still has many SWAC titles. You can keep spinning the consistency theory all you want. IF yall bought into it so much, then Comegy would still be your coach. The Bulls were losers all their days for the most part. Had a few playoff moments. But until Jordan and the crew won those 6 rings, they had not won isht. But since they got 6 of them, they can claim they are one of the most storied franchises of all time. Folks have forgotten about all the years they didn't win isht. Same for my Steelers. Until Chuck Noll came along, they were losers. And we have had some off seasons in between SB wins. But since we own 6 SB titles which is more than anybody. Nobody cares that the Patriots or somebody were more consistent regular season winners. History don't really give a fugg about that. People remember the titles. Green Bay went years in between titles. But they are still Title-town USA. Folks forgot about the pre-Favre and Rogers years. But they got 4 Titles so they are considered a great franchise.

The Lakers could lose for 20 years in a row and still be the storied Lakers. Same for the Celtics. SU Football had it's early run and dropped off after Mumford. But he kicked arse and took names. We won no titles outright until Pete came. But it is a reason the Jags had a great fan base. We had won before. We were no Johnny come lately. Just had our hiatus like a lot of programs do. The point was you guys are being hypocrites. You want to be rewarded for consistency yet you fired 2 coaches for not winning enough titles. So obviously consistency was not enough. LOL.

JR, will u stop typing LONG stuff! LOL

I have a three sentence max on what I read!

You should start laughing because that is the LAST era you will ever have a real chance vs JSU. You were dominated during the Comegy era.

We won't go six years out of ten of losing I know that.:snicker:

Uhhh JR, we want BOTH. No one said just winning games was enough, however you can't erase the fact that JSU football HAS been the most consistent over the last ten years.

right click save...

You can right click and save that for the next 50 years. JSU has never had a losing season six of ten years after 1970 and we've never gone a season without winning at least ONE SWAC game. (cough, cough....Grambling).

How many times have JSU beat Grambling since 1970 ? O I'll wait.

One thing I learned after this past football season with Florida and the last few years with SU, never take winning for granted. If Alabama, Miami, USC, and Georgia Tech(sorry TP) can fall off big time and have bad seasons from time to time, the same can happen to any football team.

But I thought that JSU only had 1 SWAC Conference Football Championship since 1996?????
