Lol. He not lying. The private forum basically was a long eulogy for JSU football the day of that press conference announcing him as the next coach.....When he started naming what we thought was a solid staff, people eased up a little bit.

at least TP is staying true too supporting OMJ and also still feels he is the best coach in the SWAC with the best coaching staff!!! lol he will never be able to cop a plea and put his name in ******* like he does with James Bell

I told yall the day yall hired OMJ it was a big mistake ..the only person I can remember who was pissed about the hire was Robber(I may be mistaken)...the rest of yall were excited and some of yall were straddling the fence but still liked the hire overall lol

Seriously, for some reasons, some HBCU's jus make dumb decisions when it comes to hiring AD's and HC.

Broussard at JSU would be a hell of a move. Jsu just needs someone to initiate the campaign and they will do the rest. Ex .... Campaign campaign campaign and JSU will give !!! It's hard to give when you dnt even know what your giving for and to. We need a big time innovative AD more than anything !!!

Broussard would do great at JSU. He would have less interference from people who have no business trying to run athletics. Now his main man GR would not like it. But that would not be a bad hire for JSU at all. Hell, the Queen and ole Viv were all chummy with Broussard in Jackson the first time he came up there after we fired Stump. I thought they were going put in dibs on him. LOL.

Well at least Stump knew how to recruit and put the program back in the right direction. He just couldn't be a Head Coach and OC. Maybe had he delegated that OC job to someone and got out the way. He might have been okay. Just tried to do too much. But his plan of how to recruit to establish a running game has worked.

Stump would have been a better AD. Our AD that hired him...well you saw what happened with his issues in Houston. LOL.

Man, I figured as much. But you know TP is die hard Mafia. He will never admit to any of that. But even that staff announcement was suspect. How you think a GRAD ASSISTANT is worthy of going to be an OC. That was a slap in the face to every available Offensive position coach or coordinator that was available at our level. Basically OMJ was saying I can get a mofo off the street to coach offense. I knew then, that OMJ was going to be really bad for yall. If Chang was so good, June Jones would have made him a QB coach or something or he would have moved up fast like Kingsbury at Texas Tech. Obviously Sumlin and now Tech saw he had something to hire him like have. Nobody saw that in Chang or he wouldn't be at JSU.

Hell JSU needs stitches and staples...along with cocoa butter to fix their team. Shit GSU needed the same and has gotten a good coach who is growing.

Unlike OMJ, Fobbs and his father applied for the job when Doug was hired the second time so there was history.

We had coaching issues just like JSU....The Doug and Doug Jr. Experiment was something I along with other do not ever want to relive. That was our BELL YEARS!!! Yet, JSU this season is just as bad because you have a lackluster coaching staff that is a clear experiment. OMJ should have never been hired and his supportive staff is showing their weakness.

You talked all this stuff over the last 18 months about how JSU will win the SWAC now that Comegy is gone....yet, you all by mid season over the last season (this one included) have been excluded from the title game as well as the Celebration Bowl. Face it...your leadership made a bad decision to fire Comegy.

The Shannon ship has sailed. LOL. JSU should go after a defensive minded Head coach and get their identity back as a tough and nasty defense. That way he would get an OC and let them do what they need to do. JSU also needs to get back to running the ball like they did in the day. I know the schemes have changed. But you could always count on JSU have a decent running game. All this video game football is not good. I understand you got to adjust to these spread and read option kids coming in. But you can still put elements of a strong ground game with a sound defense

Like TSU did multiple times until you stumbled into Rod Reed who will finish with a losing record this year...
 
Nobody in the Den was on board with the hire...I mean nobody....Fish Grease aint even hot enough to describe the temperature in the Den.....Now as far as recruiting the next coach will have something to work with...

Uh no... We need an Offensive Minded coach and hire a Good defensive Coordinator....Most Coordinators still utilize the run Chang just want mix it up enough. Its either all pass or all run....SMH
