"Human Jukebox" vs "Sonic Boom"

Yeah and the marching is really getting worse. Overall the bands were OK (not a saying a too much BUT they were not disastrous) and I think the directors were trying to go in different direction on songs and new material for the halftime show--I think it was a failure on some of it! Also JSU's arrangements are getting weaker and it is not following the traditional norms. To tell you the truth during the 90's JSU was more of a finess type of band with a high quality sound now it is more of a watered down power band, :smh:, and leading them to an above mediocre band!

I think you meant the 1960's thru 1990 editions, because the 1992 thru 1999 editions of the Sonic Boom were the sorriest editions ever!

Here's a better view of JSU's halftime at Southern:

That skit at the end hurt SU's performance at the end and I noticed that SU used the metal bells on the tubas which gave them a signature sound that was totally uncharacteristic of of the SU sound--I wonder what brought that about about (no pun intended)? BUT, overall, both shows were weak and I think both bands need to really work on bring in that innovation because the shows I have been seeing haven't been that innovative.

Bro if you marched in Grambling band you don't need to give advice. In other words sweep around your on front door. LMAO

I thought I made myself clear *cough*
