There are ways around keeping your hair from getting "nappy" from not getting a perm. Those girls got ceramic curling irons or electric straightening combs in their dorm rooms. :lol:

I wish the Jukebox a woodwind section larger than its brass section...and I don't care whether the players are male or female.:bump:
 
That is enough girls...Too many for my personal taste. After working with multiple HS bands with large numbers of females, I am glad I went SU. ~No offense, Yvette.~

None taken........shid, I loved being in a predominately male section.....I don't like being around a bunch of cat. :lol:

That's unsettling news for an old school Juke. Angela aka Rosa Parks is my crab sister and we took major heat for that verbally and physically. That's a BIG pill to swallow.

Well i'm able to handle it now,,but it was hard at first...Thank god we had 0 females

considering you was the only freshman on snare that year was hard enough! Those were some crazy times dealing with the NAACP and Hurricane Deloris.:rolleyes:
 
What's happening tail dog? Good to hear from you. Man what is the world coming to that 24 women are in the band? They got to be having cake and punch everyday. I read some women made it through the FUNK???? Man that's a letter a game, somethings wrong!!!

I would tell you how I really feel but I may be viewed as a _ _ _ _ _ _. However, I always said if a female could do what I did to get in the Jukebox, I would strip butt naked and give her my uniform and march down the strip singing "We are the crabs of the marching Jaguars"!:hat:

To be honest, I could never see a female go through four months of hell. I remember crab brothers who were in the marine corp quit. Folks were always complaining we were discriminating against women when the real truth is a woman never made it. So when the rules changed....the rest is history!
