"Leader of Kings"
The move to Houston, TX Stadium: Delmar which only hold 12,000 was a good move for TV purpose because a little over 10,000 showed up but unless the tickets were a min of $20 I can't see any money being made just maybe breaking even.

Didn't ESPN give a good amount of money to stu to move this game?

Also like it was said it didn't cost that much to rent Delmar so they would have been ahead just selling a few tickets.

Well what you imagine and what are facts are totally two different things.

Well I'm just going by when we pimped...er uh...:uhoh:.I mean played SU at that high school facility, the attendance wasn't much different and the return was pretty high. I'm sure tsu made ALOT more money at Delmar than they would have at Reliant.:noidea:

Well whether it was or wasn't;

Southern (6-5,3-4) vs. Texas Southern (6-5,5-2)

Date: Dec 05, 2009 • Site: Houston, TX • Stadium: Delmar • Attendance: 10769

OK so not only do you not really know but you want to be an azz about a legitimate question and what makes it worst you don't even have a dog in the hunt.

Tickets were $15 and a little over 10,000 came. Let's assume that they all were paying customers (we know better).

That's amounts to roughly $150,000.00 before SU percentage and cost if I got my decimal in the right spot.

I'm guessing they probably made between $75-$80k

As for the pimping comment to so stupid on so many levels its...well like I said before it's like talking to an abuse child when talking to some of you.

We MADE money on this game....Delmar was basically free due to the sponsors. It was a nice payday and a nice win.:clap:

So to answer your question.....WE GOT PAID TO WHOOP THAT AZZ

And what sponsors are those and how much was the stadium?

I hear alot of lip service but no proof.

I'm sure you didn't go in the red like you have been for the last few years but I doubt it wasn't a bonanza for you, but then again your measurement of getting paid is probably different then ours .

And yeah y'all WHOOP OUR AZZ. Boy I 've never seen anything like it before. Where did y'all that coach from? He's probably going to have you guys move on up out of the SWAC next because y'all are heads and shoulders above everybody else. Man I wish we could have given y'all a much better game because clearly we were out class.

Congratulations on the win and the move to the BCS level, y'all deserve it.

Houston Independent School District charges us precisely $1,500 per game.

We made a profit at the gate as well as the $100K check from ESPN made it even more sweet.

Bluedog, it was extremely beneficial for us to move the game.

You don't see any money being made because you don't want to. Is that your way of coping with the loss?

It's highly likely you are not getting any serious discussion because of your acting like a .....!

Back in a minute!

OK, using your analagy that's 150K

blue,

ESPN paid each school 100K to air the game. The ticket revenue is separate.
That's 100K
So they probably broke even.

If that makes you feel better go with it!

And what sponsors are those and how much was the stadium?

Sponsors covered the little stadium charge. If you want to know details about that call the damn AD's office.

So that's 250K for sTu, Espn paid sucks!

That really sounds like breaking even to me!

You're probably one of the few who's actually stupid enough to actually believe that.

But again congrats on the win and the first winning season since...well I can't remember.

See ya in the BCS next year

How did I know you would start name calling. Can someone find that Internet Gangsta video for me? What next you going to threaten to pop keys off my key board?

What are you like twelve? Internet Gangsta!

Clearly you're one of these emotional females that don't like to be held accountable my apologies, normally I don't hold conversation with any.

Wow not only an emotional female but a dumb one too.

Damn, I bet that was you shooting at the sTu busses back in the day! You are just beside yourself. Come on admit it you can't stand for su to take a loss. It just brings out that gangsta in you doesn't it?
