I wanna be your lover...
before you call it quits. Now me, I'm not the date forever chick. I'm thinking if you hadn't seen what you need to see by 2 years I'm not it. And ain't nobody mad. At 4 years, either we need to have moved up or we're moving down to jsut speaking friends...cause that's all we are--Friends. Period. I don't get this dating for 10 - 15 years then getting married. Do you know how many folks I will have "dated" by then? :xeye: :lmao:

Seeing that (as of now) I have absolutely no intentions of marrying again, I can probably date someone 10-15 years and be OK. Why mess up a good thing?

I been dating the same person four 4 years now. I don't see what the rush is. I think people should date however long it takes.

If folk dated more the divorce rate would be lower. Two years is not enough to get to know someone........ Hell to be honest 20 years ain't long enough either.

relationships should naturally progress through the different levels.

that's one of my beefs with facebook

if you're gonna spend the rest of your life, with that person, what is the rush?

a chick that can't be single for one minute without always needing to be in some dudes
face, tells me alot about who she is

I don't think 2 years is a "rush." If you are putting in the time and energy, you should know PLENTY by 2 years. If you are seeing each other 1 - 2 times a month...y'all ain't really in a relationship. That's a friend with benefits.

What is 1-2 times a year?

Most women have timeclocks in their head I realize. Every woman I meet wants to get married and have kids by a certain age and have a limit on length of dating. My parents ask me all the time, why have I been in a relationship for four years without buying a ring. I always ask them what is the rush?

Nall that's them country gals. That's just how they raised. That's why some of them get married 20 times. Gotta rush it and have a mate.

If these women can't stay committed to a "dating" partner, what makes them think they would be able to stay committed in a marriage?

At what point would they get bored and decide it's time to get on the next one?

Maybe the guy refuses to commit because he knows they have rabbit in them which makes them essentially unmarriageable. :noidea:

True and when they move to urban areas for careers and get close to 30, they start panicking. I got some homegirls up here that moved to the area and thats all they talk about. This is all I hear...

"I am going on 28, I was supposed to be married with atleast one kid by now"

I simply smh. I am looking at my check and my expenses and thinking, I don't want kids till atleast 32.

Hell, it also depends on your location. From my personal experience with the cats I grew up with. A lot of the ones who stayed in the country are either married or close to getting married. Those of us who left, are wondering what the rush is.

Especially if you stay in a city like ATL. why would you rush to get married in a city with ratio that lopsided of women to men. Fine, in-shape black women too.

I'd hope their mental state is fine and in shape too. Takes them a minute to get it. So, don't marry one who isn't @ least 50 yrs old. I think they tend to get what life is really about from that point forward.

tee-hee-hee-hee-hee

Yeah man, there ain't nothing a like nice shaped sister that works hard in the gym. It is a few stallions at my gym. seeing those bodies in some nice tights is....

Plus, I got from a family full of big people. I have to constantly watch my weight, diet, and excercise. It ain't going to work if I marry someone who is trying to fry chicken every night.

When you get to a point where you turn your nose up @ them after they open their mouth, you would have oh-fficially arrived @ maturation and loathe stupidity regardless of how "fine and in shape" lol it looks. I left HS turning my nose up, btw. :emlaugh:

Good luck w/ those bumps pop.

Now, I am at the point where I cant stand an ignorant woman, no matter how fine she is. I just can't do it. I am with you on that one. Not only does her ignorance bothers me, I am scared that the rubber my break and I end up making a baby with a dummy. I have some intellect requirements.
