How can I tell my friend that her teenager is sexually active?

RIP Aveia
Should I tell my her? I already know she gonna go off. Should I take her daugther to the doctor to get pills? Am I crossing line. I don't know what the hell the do.

" I love you...I have concerns that "Buffy" is sexually active...have you considered the possibility that she is?"

Does the acorn doesn't fall far from the tree?

*wondering was the MOTHER sexually active at the same age....* ;)

If THAT is the case, why would you betray her trust in you by telling moms???

Are you SURE that moms doesn't already know? ;)

How old is this chick, anyway?

Keep your mouth shut.. you can ruin a friendship ratting out the children whether it is true or not. The friend is grown and shouldn't have her head in the sand about the matter. Teens are getting more than some of us adults.. It is sad but true.

I'm sorry, if it were my FRIEND and I don't have but a few, I'm telling. I know damn well I want to be told.

I would suggest that you stay out of it....One thing I learned from my grandmother is to stay the hell out of other folks business.

One thing to for sure break up a friendship, is to start dippin' in them and their kids business. Pray for her and hope for the best.

PEACE!

Maybe the child was using you as a means to let her mom know. Ask the child does she want you to tell her mom. I would tell the mother cause I damn sure would want someone to tell me if my daughter didn't have the courage to tell me.

I say yes intervene. Agree with me or not...the whole world(not just a village) raises a child. **Tv, schools, churches, friends, etc.** Talk with the child and let her know beforehand that you are going to tell her mother. That way you won't be betraying her trust. She may actually want you to tell her mother, because she's afraid to on her own. She's probably reaching out for help. Apparently, she feels more comfortable with you. Perhaps the two of you may tell her together. Any concerned parent would want to know. Think about it...do you think she will take it better telling her now or waiting and telling her she's pregnant.

I'd tell, but I'd talk some more to the girl first. Find out if she has let her mom know. She may be afraid to tell her mom alone. I'd let her know that I intended to share this information, because her mother really does have a right to know.

Perhaps knowing that someone would be there with her would give her the courage to do what she can't do alone, and she can tell mom herself.

As mad as I might be to know that my child was sexually active, I think I'd be even more pissed if she came home pregnant (or he came home telling me some girl was pregnant), and I found out a FRIEND of mine knew she/he was active, and didn't say isht.

Tell her "You know how you were when you were a teenager...well your daughter is 10 times as hot as you"

Adult vs. Child...

You're the adult in the situation. The child's mom/dad should be aware if nothing else. TELL IT! TELL IT! TELL IT for all the obvious reasons.

If it were my child I'd want to know and I'd want he or she to tell me, then we could further discuss the issue on a parent/child level and I'd take all the necessary precautions.

I guess I'm questioning why some of you would say to stay out of it, especially being an adult. What if it were your child? :look:

If I lost a friend because I made he or she aware of her daughter's or son's sexually activity...then I KNOW for sure...the child is in more trouble for obvious reasons...and the person really wasn't a friend to me anyway.

TELL IT!:nod2:

I mean dayum she's a teenager. If she wanted her mom to know i'm pretty sure she would've told her. Now what would you do if you caused some kinda mother/daughter drama? Leave it be.

I would not tell the child's parent. The girl told you because she felt comfortable enough with you that you would betray her trust. I work with the teenagers in my church and I've been told by teenagers things that they really need to tell their parents. What I've done when put in this situation is explain to them WHY they need to share this with their parents.

By expressing herself to you, she is looking for direction, not to be ratted out!

Tell it while both the mother and daughter are present. This needs to be told. And for heaven's sake, do NOT get the child birth control pills. That's something that the parents need to be involved in, if the girl is old enough. If she's young, maybe the mother can see where she needs to be more attentive to the coming and goings of her kid. I mean, unless she's getting it in the bathroom at school, if you are picking her up and monitoring her activities, when can she get some? Sounds like a cry for help here. Girls wearing gasoline drawers ain't trying to tell adults they are getting their groove on. KNow what I mean?
