They look better than how they were against FAMU for sure and the crowd surprised the hell outta me! Defense started coming together but we gotta get this Offense together!!!
 



Basically SWAC Football is at the Bottom of The Barrel when is comes to collegiate football! How can all of these start up programs consistently beat SWAC schools who have been playing football for 60 years???

HBU just started playing football in 2013 and already beat Texas Southern.

Southeastern Louisiana University beat Alcorn in their 2nd year back playing Football.

Lamar University beat PVU 31-0 in only their 3rd year back playing Football and then the very next year they beat Grambling in their 4th year back.

WTH???? This is beyond sad...........
 
With the exception of gRambling sometimes, s3wc coaches don't 1. Make good in game adjustments 2. Scout opponents well 3. Condition and strength train the entire roster top to bottom. 3. Get an offensive line. Solution? Stop hiring retreads from the conference. Stop not doing what winning coaches do. #ISaidIt I love my school but....
 
SE loaded up on transfers coming out the gate as their first team was not bad and Alcorn was on the way down then.

Alot of those team start up with advantages in terms of admitting athletes SWAC schools now struggle to get. That Lamar team had 2 Oklahoma Sate transfers who were legit and tons of JUCO guys. Not sure about SE but Lamar came in spending money to be somewhat decent on the field. Their advantages again is they can step in both talent pools of races without hesitation.

When SU, FAMU and Jackson State competed at a high level in the 90s teams developed players better as their props were legit athletes you had to wait a year on, those schools had no problem getting legitimate impact transfers

As for HBU, not sure about that as nothing attractive about playing over there.
