Honey Badger sitting out a year, and returning to LSU?

Dude... if Jordan Jefferson can exist in BR, Mathieu would be welcomed back by the fans with open arms. LOL

You ain't kidding. Dude had thick skin to survive BR after all that stuff last year. Looks like 2 years in a row LSU has had something happen with a key player right before the season.

I thought it was just me dude was making his own punishment. We will now see what Miles does ball is in his court

Im also thinking he did fail 3 classes the more things out so he may have to sit out anyways.

Returning to LSU football team not an option for Tyrann Mathieu, source says

A source close to dismissed LSU cornerback Tyrann Mathieu disputed an ESPN.com report Monday that said Mathieu was considering a return to LSU in 2013 after sitting out the 2012 season. Tyrann Mathieu says he wants to come back to LSU even if he sits out a season.
The source said remaining in Baton Rouge "wouldn't be happening" and that McNeese State, which Mathieu visited on Friday, is presently the only option for transfer.

Only option my azz. It's sad how he and his parents are allowing LSU to control him and his choices. Only option. There are hundreds of teams that probably would take him. Something isn't adding up.

I'm guessing that was literary license being used by the writer. McNeese is probably the only option he's considering, not the only option available.

This is true but the reality of the fact is this, he is not playing football this year unless he transfers. He still will be a beast with or without LSU. He can control his own destiny if he gets away, instead of sitting at LSU to rot...
Frat. All this was on him. It wasn't like LSU treated him like crap. He did this to himself. So he has no reason to be mad at LSU. Les Miles didn't tell him to flunk another drug test or break team rules. And he is wanted. They wanted him to play there for sure. Wasn't like they thought he was a scrub and was going to sit him down because he couldn't play. Now the fans are something different. They just ride the wave. Dude knows he messed up and that's why he is wanting back on the team. All he had to do is go to class and leave that isht he smoking or whatever he is doing alone. He put himself in this mess. LSU didn't. He would still be the star of the defense had he just did what he was supposed to. So he has no reason to be mad and want to show someone up by transferring to another school. I even think most of the LSU fans aint anti- Honey Badger. Just a few necks who say dumb isht on sports boards like they always do. I bet if they got him back for next year, they would give him a standing ovation once he hit the field. LOL. Of course if I was him, I would transfer somewhere to make an impact and head to the NFL after one season. But in all seriousness, if he wants his degree. He should try to finish at LSU if they let him. If that is important to him.

That's how Les operates. I would let him make up his own mind tho. He won't be happy if coming back to LSU is not an option yet Les makes him go somewhere he does not want to go.

Yeah he has that white is right mentality like most of the ones that play in the FBS have. Sad some parents instill that thought in their children.

BATON ROUGE - Tyrann "Honey Badger" Mathieu cannot return to the LSU football team at any time in the future, LSU senior associate athletic director for NCAA compliance Bo Bahnsen reiterated on Monday after an ESPN story stated there was a chance Mathieu could return for the 2013 season.

"He's permanently ineligible to play football at LSU," Bahnsen said in a telephone interview Monday afternoon. "That's definite. That's what was said Friday."

They have washed there hands of the kid He should do what ever he wants to do now. Mc Neese maybe a HBCU Hell for all of this he could become a rapper om Cash Money he just needs to make up his mind

I don't know if his parents are doing that. The problem is that these kids see the bright lights and want to go where their sports heroes have gone. Most of them have not seen the stars we saw come out of HBCU land. If HBCUs had all that kind of hype and the facilities. They would be kicking our door down too. That kid really don't want to go to McNeese either. LOL. That's why he has not made his mind up already. Unfortunately we live in a society were sports has become almost bigger than life and these kids whether their parents say anything or not, all want to be big time and play on the big stage. Look at how they parade these HS players around and have them on ESPN with HS football games and even the 7 on 7 competition. These star athletes are getting so much exposure early on now that they think it is their right to be at one of these big programs.

I really wonder if he failed a third drug test. Would he even be eligible to play by NCAA standards?

Well, I heard to day on the radio that it was down to McNeese State and JSU in terms of where Tryann is most likely to play in the not-too-distant future.

Why?

Is that the only school LSU will release him to? If so, something's fishy about that.

You can blame you idol Saban for cutting off S.U.

LOL the Michael Hayes rule....that was one of the best gifts LSU ever gave SU.

Well, you can blame the adults who are in position of power and influence for that. We create these attitudes and entitlement mindset these young athletes have by fawning over them like pedophiles then blame them for their behavior. LOL

That is same thing I was thinking for some reason Im thinking its a white girl some where involved with this. I know LSU had a black baseball player 2 years transfer out and they went the injury route, too many players brought in he had weed in the dorm. Come to find out him a white soccer chick was messing around and her dad had a lil influence on campus.

If he wants "bright lights" then it should be JSU over McNeese hands down. But I do question whether he's truly ready to make any kind of move right now. If he's that distraught over the LSU situation he might not be ready to play for anyone else.

On rivals folks are disputing this. Some are saying that the AD did not say this.
