Homecoming Rankings--AAMU No. 1

I believe Alabama is winning this year. The people at A&M's homecoming are there because they want to be there. The homecomings here are getting bigger by the year. A&M has put a lot of resources and effort into creating this atmosphere. The AD and his director of fan engagement went to a lot of events to get an understanding of how to make events exciting for the fans and came away with a lot of ideas. Those ideas will lead to additional engagements that be implemented in the future.

I beginning to believe you have an obsession with Nick Saban or Alabama. Maybe it is because both used to kick Ole Miss so often and so hard.

that's my issue - universities putting all this effort into a weekend people are already coming to, regardless but the ROI isn't as great as it seems cause you spend more on catering, tents, etc., entertainment

then when we play random games its a ghost town cause the same effort is not applied - priorities

I not sure we would have had a crowd like that if it were not for the attention paid to fan engagement. I hope the prices for tailgating spots were sufficient to make it financially worthwhile.
I hate that many tailgaters came for thst rather than the game. If a large portion of them had come into the stadiums, both sized would have been packed. Maybe people should be forced to buy a game ticket before they can enter the tailgating area.

I dont know what it's like now, but that Homecoming when I was at Howard was just on a different level than the rest lol. Now, there are games that have a bigger atmosphere like the big classics, but just as far as homecoming goes it was a distant number one. My dorm was off campus (if you've never been there, there are 2 dorms a few blocks away in the middle of a neighborhood) and there were so many people that we had to walk all the way up that long ass hill because the shuttles couldn't even get through. Traffic on Georgia Ave was so thick people were just parking in the street.
Howard Homecoming still superbig. DC is not chocolate city anymore like the 90s but HU homecoming stills shuts down the city

I haven't been back up there since 2018. I think about the Chinese spots with the 5 piece whole wing, shrimp fried rice and mambo sauce regularly though. I could eat free at the caf and still ordered delivery to the dorm. They had a legit Caribbean joint downstairs in the cafeteria where you could get beef patties and cocoa bread for $2. Howard does most things different. Homecoming, their Hospital on campus helps a lot of black folks that couldn't otherwise get care. The McDonald's across the street next to the towers used to have actual black panthers posted up on the corner. And the women...I miss everything about DC except for the cost of living.
