Well it's that time of year again and I, personally haven't been in the best of holiday spirits but oh well.

I'll just hang out with family as usual and eat plenty of food. Maybe I'll actually gain a few pounds this year. I'm not doing much gift giving this year either. Only three gifts to purchase and they'll be purchased at the very, very last minute. One good thing is that my mother is coming to visit me this year, so I don't have to travel.:p


Anyone have any big plans for the season????
 
I am not planning anything, personally I am trying to get away from the family...
 



I don't have my flight plans done as of yet.........

But I'm flying home to see how the little one likes his first Christmas.

Then I'm goning to see how I'm going to swing flying to the ATL for New Year's. Some peeps of mine have just purchased a new crib and they want me to help cristen each room in the house by consuming a big arse drink in each room. Hey, who am I to argue ? :)

Heading to the Boot this year!

Will be heading home to visit kinfolks. I cant wait to taste my grandmamma's home made egg nog. You know that country folks make everything from scratch. From the home-raised Chrismas chicken on the table to the egg nog.

*Black Bengal wonders why grandmamma's egg nog do not taste like store bought.*
 
I'm going home for about 5 or 6 days. My family is so excited. I'll be sick of them before Christmas Day. Both sides will be fighting to get the most of my time. That's what happens when your parents are divorced and both sides of the family do big family gatherings. It doesn't help that I'm so lovable and such a wonderful person to be around. ;)

As for New Year's Eve, I'm doing a any minnie miney mo on what I will do. May end up here "with myself" like I did last year. That means I'll be sleep.
 
I will be spending time with family. The holidays fall where I will have to work before and after but in between I am going to have some fun.
Its not beginning to look a lot like Christmas ...weather wise that is

Well,

I'll be getting my oldest to Mississippi to see her paternal family, then I'm swinging through Arkansas, shoving my mom in Big Thirsty, and hauling arse back to Texas.

As for New Year's, that's up in the air. I think I want to ring the New Year in with Hyper and Active ... and what better place to have SEVERAL phat arse glasses of something to drink than RIGHT at the house?
 
Well I am heading to the top of the boot for X-mas. I should arrive home late Sunday night, and return to the Panhandle Wednesday or Thursday. Maybe I can roll to that Rapides Parish and hang with JSTUS.....

As for New Years...I have no clue. I am waiting on someone to invite me to a good house get together or something. I hate large crowds, except for sporting events, and I hatethe club........so unless someone is having something small, I will once again be in the crib bringing in the new year in my Scooby Doo drawers eating fudgepops and Krispy Kream donuts like I have done the last few New Years........maybe JSTUS will let me come to BR and hang with her and herself!
 
Will head up to North Louisiana (God's country) and spend as much time with family and old friends as possible. Will be clubbing just about everynite at the family nightclub (actually, I'll be doing that bartendering thing).

Definitely plan to do my share of Church activity and Christmas programs. I plan to go by the nursing home to visit some of the elders from my community that have now moved to the nursing home.

Of course, I will have to visit the old heads in "the ville" (a section of SI...yeah phat man, SI has sections) to play some dominoes and drink beer/moonshine whiskey.

What will my Christmas plans consist of? 1 word. 3 times:

I might be able to get in a little hanging out time with my friends and family. I'm trying to make as much as I can in the few weeks I'm going to have off.
As much as I need to go, <b>I don't see church in the plans anywhere!!</b> I work on Sundays starting at 12:30 p.m. I have to leave home an hour ahead of time. I haven't been to my church since <b>MAY!! I feel like such a heathen!!!

Aunt Esther, send help!!</b>
 
Well, I am going home to Mississippi for Christmas. My family is having this HUGE Christmas holiday extravaganza. I'll be spending a week there but I don't know how I will be able to survive. New Year's is in the air however I wouldn't mind hitting the ATL to celebrate.

Road Tripping

I'm hitting the road for my annual trip to Mississippi with a pit stop in the ATL to hollar at some Ques. After Christmas, it is a few days in Camden, Arkansas and back to the Sip for a few seconds and on to Charolette to kick it with some more Ques and back to the Metro DC area for the Ques New Year's party in Roslyn, VA.

Well, I'm not going anywhere for Christmas. I'll be home in New Orleans next week for my boy's wedding, which eliminated me from being able to go home for Christmas.

The Saturday before Christmas, I'm planning to volunteer my services at a Homeless Shelter, hopefully making Christmas happy for someone less fortunate. If I have to work that day, I'll be there in spirit.

New Year's, I plan on going to New York, to bring in the New Year in Times Square, this is the coolest thing you could do for New Year's, if you've never done it. With the situation in September, this may be the most memorable in a long time, probably the best since the ending of WWII.

If the Saints & Redskins game will determine a playoff spot, for either of the 2, I will go to the NO for the game, and watch my 2 favorite teams play.

If it's in Wisner, it must be Pappa D's. I'll have to pass through with a big thirst. I'll be kicking it over in Newellton, and it ain't much happening in Tensas parish.
 
Where is MikeBigg? Sicily Island ain't that far from Rapides Parish.:idea: Nothing like causing RUCKUS in a good ole' juke joint.

It's alright to claim Wisner.........LOL!

Actually Poppa D' be off the hook on Holidays. Sorry I didn't make down for Thanksgiving but I decided to go to Vicksburg for some late night gambling!

My brothers were there and they said they had a nice time.
