I really like what I see! Keep up the great work!

1. New Band Room in the making - Great, it's about time!

2. 4 types of uniforms - Great, but I don't really care for that all gold one, it's looks like mustard!

3. Brand new instruments in every section - Great, take good care of them with all that jumping around.

4. Four band/music PMA-KKY-SAI-TBS all strong,active and in good standing -Great, it's not to many HBCU's that can say that!!!!

5. 280 P-1 to P4 band scholarships for 2006 - Great !!!!!!

Keep it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


P.S. Hey Southern University/" JAGUARNATION" or whatever you call that brainwashed crap, that's what a band that travels the world and has money can do. I wish I could see and say the same things for you fools. Now, before all you GSU-haters post, go and practice on some new songs and new field shows for next football season. People don't care to hear or see the same old **** again next season. Oh yeah, since doc is gone....I mean since he is FIRED, give some of those trumpets players some money. Since they are the only well respected section in your " same old jag-songs " band, they deserve it! LOL:)

I am shoked that you are stupider than any GSU person I have ever met..

1. Why do SU need a new band room, when we already have a state of the art facility?

2. What's the purpose of having multiple uniforms? Will it make GSU sound any better?

3. Getting new instruments ain't nothing new to SU, I just pray GSU can find some students to actually play them. You all would have done better with purchasing some extra "Instrument Lessons"....

4. Since they are all in good standing, lets get them nigras to work....To say GSU has all of that support ain't a dayum thing being done over there....

5. GSU been using scholarships to get students for ages.....SU just attracted great player by us having a great program (No money) involved for the most part... But some how still manage to have the most sought after program of all HBCU's...... Like the song say, "Money can't buy you love"..."Money can't buy you a Band"....

Just like SU ran threw the SWAC last year....It will be much worst this year, just strap on your seat belt, sit back and enjoy the ride....

Why did you even address that fool. SU band is the only band that travels to all their games( unless there is scheduling snafu like this year with TxSU) and never ask anybody to pay for us to show up at a game and he is talking about not having money. I seem to recall when AAMU folks were on here talking about how the World Famed asked them for money to come to Huntsville.

Talk about smalltime............ SMH @ this thread.


BTW, don't warn these fools of what is about to happened to them next fall. The Jukebox is going to be really cut throat next year. I feel sorry for the SWAC.

I was just wondering how long it was going to take b4 someone put this post in proper perspective. It is really sad to see how you intended to give props to your program while at the same time taking a shot at the JUKE! Jukes, thanks for handling this small matter.

I ain't touching this topic. However,...I am looking forward to seeing Southern in the Fall.

Nothing but best wishes cause let the truth be told,.....even though it makes me sooooo angry :smash: when I see bands tryin' to imitate you guys,....I'm a fan. I just march to a beat of a different drum.

There is no need for violence. Basehead is like a kid with a new toy. He just wants to show it off:gift: . WHO CARES? I'm not overly fond of either school but SUtrp was right: buy some lessons.

As much as I dislike SU, I know that they represent the SWAC well with their performances (it just a school rivalry with me). GSU is getting to be the weak link in the SWAC. Yall used to be beautiful baby(or at least decent). What happened?

Oh well, just keep up the " same old work " we have been seeing at the battle of the band and get over it. When Southern learns how to travel all over the world, get on some legit TV commercials, have each bandmember get paid for performances, learn how to respect other HBCU bands and most of all, learn to take a whippin like some men, it will be a great day. But that won't happen! SU could never and will never be able to accomplish the many great things tha GSU " WORLD FAMED " band has accomplished. Go and do your HBCU history and look up " THE FIRST BLACK COLLEGE / THE FIRST COLLEGE BAND to.... "! You are sure to find Grambling State in almost everything and everywere!

Yes, I really do have a problem with what you just said and I will tell you about it when I see you on April 27-30. I will be looking foward to talking to another " RESPECT SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY EVEN IF THEY HATE ON GSU " person. You would think that you would be on the bandwagon that I am on. Well, I guess that when you are a former " PMA " section leader in the GSU band unlike yourself, you are tought and learned to be on the " receive respect and then give respect bandwagon." If you feel that I am making you or any other " GSUsouthern lover " look bad, so the **** what. We'll talk in person about it! But untill then, tell those that " SU click " to learn how to respect what the Grambling band does and what the band has done! If they, (SUfans) don't know, tell them to look up " THE FIRST BAND/FIRST BLACK BAND too.............!

1. I didn't say that SU needed a new band room. I already know that SU has a real good band room. Yes, I have been in it before. I was just giving props to GSU for getting a new one after all of these years.

4. Yes, they all are in good standing and they have been working! Most of them were working on playing a lot of " new songs " at the battle with us guys.

You can't run threw the SWAC using the same old shoes.
