Second-half woes doom Tigers 60-56

JSU led 42-31 two minutes into the second half then scored only 14 points the rest of the way. The Tigers went seven straight possessions without a point initially and converted on just seven of their last 23 trips. They scored only two points the final four minutes.

JSU shot 24.2 percent in the second half and finished 2-of-17 from 3-point range.

"When they went to the zone we couldn't score. We couldn't make a basket," said JSU coach Andy Stoglin, whose club played its fifth game in the last 11 days and third road game in the last six. "We didn't have any legs. We had some pretty good shots; we just couldn't make them."

"Alabama State has a very good team," Stoglin said. "To come over here and play them the way we did twice in the past three days says a lot about our kids. We could've won both games, probably should've won both of them."

We lost because we took a chance and actually showed up. We played last night and lost.....Your team didnt have a chance to lose again last night.
 
MH, their feelings were hurt after they left Normal. We soften them up.

I don't know why they will be glad when football season start. One of the bamas will pounce on them again. If we don't win the East we know who will not.

GR, don't you remember that the only time we don't like Alabama St. is when we go head to head like on Friday Night. But after the contest we will be back on Saturday rooting for a Bama Team.

AAMU will be pulling for a Bama Team on Saturday Night.

It is a bama thing. As you know Jackson St. is a former Church School and they should be showing a lot of love about now. :D
