I agree. People who make false claims need to face consequences.

I agree....but on the flip side, some of them mean well, and really believe what they are calling in about. We get those calls all the time.

Tommy Sotomayor bought up an interesting question-when are we going to start looking at these anonymous callers?

We have had 4 incidents of folks calling the cops because they "see" a gun.

John Crawford Jr at Wal-Mart in a state that was open carry.
Tamir Rice and the caller said the guy might be a toy and once again an open carry state.

Now this.

This prank calling of claiming folks have guns and they don't. When do we start making some examples of them? We can trace calls. They need to be punished as well.

Or some of this stuff could be staged. They do simulated drills in many cities and if one isn't in the know, he could actually think what he's seeing is real.

I agree what gets me is that with all these cell phones recording why doesn't anybody record anything prior to the cops getting there specifically the person who called?
