The Invitational Showcase Line-Up

This year's dynamic three-hour show kicks-off promptly at 3 p.m. on Jan. 30, and features a special guest performance by "Ludacris," along with performances from the country's top eight Historically Black College and University (HBCU) Marching Bands. Atlanta's own Clark Atlanta University opens the show and leads the "great eight" band performances in the following order:


1. Clark Atlanta University "Mighty Marching Panthers"
2. Virginia State University "Trojan Explosion Marching Band"
3. North Carolina Central University "Marching Sound Machine"
4. Prairie View A&M University "Marching Storm"
5. Southern University "Human Jukebox Marching Band"
6. Albany State University "Marching Rams"
7. Tuskegee University "Marching Crimson Pipers"
8. Florida A&M University "Marching 100"

the bands sit in the endzones....1st band takes the field after mass band, the last 5 bands sit down...while the 2 bands performing after the 1st band are in the tunnel....


as far as which side the bands perform to....they alternate sides....so whichever way Clark performs, thats who SU will perform to

I actually dont like the fact SU and PV back to back...but then again after the 1st 4 you'd probably waiting to see them lol
 
AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Aside from the steady paycheck and WONDERFUL medical benefits, the military get aggravating. My vacation has been pushed back (Yet again), so now I can't go to the Honda. Sucks to be me. *Band directors, look for my business associates @ the SWEAC Drills table that will be setup.* Might be familiar faces for some of you, as all of us marched @ HBCU's (A few FAMUans, a couple of Jaguars, and some Jacksonians.)
 
Clearly, SU should have been last. Who in ATL ain't seen FAMU. SU has not been in ATL in a while and many should want to stay to see them in person. From the things you all tell me about Doc Greggs, I get the feeling that he would have said "either we last or we ain't coming"... :lol:

However, at the same time, I think I liked it how JSU went 3rd from last becasuse you help set the bar when you are early.

It use to go by size of the band.... so FAMU and BCC would always end up last.... but that was causing folks to come late because they didnt want to see the SIAC and CIAA bands... so the Ga Dome would be damn near empty while they were there.

Seems as if they are mixing it up this year to make sure people stay from start to finish.
 
The Storm gotta hate that they going on right before the Jukebox:mad:. Yall better bring your "A" game PV, or everyone will forget what you did after SU hits the field! Go SWAC, and fcuk the Peas & Carrots Band from Tallahassee:lol:!!!
 



Southern is more exciting and better to me than famu. SU should go last to ensure that the place explodes at the end. Don't they normally save the best for last. Didn't JSU go last last year?

Well I just hope SWAC BANDS behave themselves being that this is one of yall first time! Don't go up there behaving all GHETTO and schittt trying to start a Dayum fight! We all know one school rep, FIGHT at every gathering Ghetto Trashy arse!! Please don't do the SWAC like this or U won't be invited back!! BUT TIME WILL TELL, WE ALL WILL SEE, I WONT!! I will watch from you tube, not interested this round!!:tdown:

In ATL, the best band is the one with the best dance routine. I thought you knew....:noidea:

Cause not to sound like a hater or anything, but SU would put me to sleep at the end...that is until the fat girls do backflips and belly flop into splits at the end...

It is going to absolutely SUCK to be Albany and Tuskegee. It's clear that the Honda people don't know what they are doing. You are going to build the crowd up with PV and SU in the middle and watch it fall COMPLETELY FLAT with Albany and Tuskegee. Then, you're going to bring in FAMU to try and get the crowd pumped back up with their show.

I think some people with REAL band experience need to decide the Honda order.
