That has nothing to do with the conversation. Look how many scouts, coaches and GM's they have that never played.

This is not about judging athletic ability. This is about motives. This asinine belief prevalent on the board that we are signing transfers out the goodness of our hearts so we can give these young men a second chance at life.
Just admit that we sign these young men, simply because they can run, shoot, pass and now no one else wants their azz because of off the field behavior.

I never said or believe that lol. And those who believe that needs a reality check.

I think Cox, Green, Robinson and Hamilton all had late round talent.
I dont agree. I have been around the SWAC longer than you, grew up in BR going to SU games, and went to SU in the 90's. None of those guys were draft worthy. I can speak for Green since he went to SU, and I went to every game. He was the 5th or 6th best WR @ SU. He has NFL speed, but he couldn't catch, and was very fearful of contact. He also had trouble getting separation from bump and run coverage. Didn't put up numbers besides the UAPB game. Green did have great technique though.

They are making my case stronger. I heard this from more than one scout too. They see no need to waste draft picks on some of our very good players because they can sign them cheaper as free agents and the conference brand isn't as strong. A ***** trying to refute that by stating the number of scouts that showed up for pro-day yet no one from their team got drafted is the equivalent of a retarded kid running in the special Olympics to prove he is not retarded.

As far as talent. I want people to examine the last two rounds of the draft the past four years and the players we had sign as free agents and tell me what you think

That dadgum, Pop.

Just keep telling the truth. I don't know why this is so hard for these people.

Anyone with a brain knows sports is a business, but only a fool that doesn't realize schools like the SEC and Big 10 pimp more players than a hoe on Rodero Drive is a plain idiot. All sports, bands and any college in America pimps its students and players. In fact everyone in America uses folks everyday of their lives for personal gain. Nothing is wrong with giving folks chances, the only reason you folks are successful is someone gave you a chance.

The NCAA pimps everybody no matter of you are in the SEC or Division III.

of course they pimp more, they got more resources to buy more whores. If we had more money, we would do it too. We are in it for the same thing. Run toby, catch toby, jump toby, get on that billboard and sell tickets toby.

Hamilton deserved to be drafted as he dominated the SWAC and that's the only way you stay on the radar from our level....he could play at a Rice and do the same thing with lesser stats and he's still a prospect...the key is you got to dominate, kill every workout and remain on a high level to the point where you're a sure-fire pick, not just bubble status

but there are alot more things that go on behnd the scenes that can cause you to rise and fall once the games and pro days come to an end

in some cases, it's better to be a free agant as you can pick your situation a being a late round draft pick and your stuck with that team where in some cases, there's no need even though you were drafted

Well, im just gonna say it. Any program that would take this dude after what he did can't really expect to get much respect. A little trouble, ok. But riding around with a dirty gun with a fake ID after he had already been in trouble 3 or 4 times? Nah. Sometimes you have to know when to say NO.

So where does the line get drawn? You cool with going out and signing a serial killer as a linebacker or the unibomber as your tight end? And as much trouble as UGA players have been in in the past, if THEY let him go there's no way i'd sign him. You may get a couple of extra wins but it certainly doesn't give your program a better view.

Thanks for saying this, I want us to get beyond that talent is the end of all mindset we have. Yes, a player like Tavaris Jackson, Mathis, etc... will shine and get their's but I think that hype machines, agents, and certain perceptions keep some of our kids out those last two rounds.

I agree there has to be a line some where, but my point is to folks who say only HBCU's do this. Schools like Jxsu will take a murder fresh out the joint too.

Now this I can agree with... an underachieving or oft-injured (or injured in his senior year) SEC/Pac-12/Big 12 player will get drafted in those rounds before any of our players will because the right agent along with ESPN "gurus" will say "he had 1st-2nd round talent but his stock fell after he was injured" or "he took plays off" and the NFL will give them a shot hoping to get a steal in those rounds.

And I thought Hamilton was going to get drafted as well but he went to the right situation *waves Cowboys flag*

According to some folx w/ SWAC blinders on, like JagTilHeDead, no Hamilton was not worthy of a late round draft pick --------> :retard:.

Lets see... owns SWAC sack record, pretty much dominated IC and even OOC. :retard: My goodness. Comprehension can NEVER EVER be taught and obviously not learned by some. lol :smh:

According to folx of JagTilHeDead's ilk, just as long as it's the "olympics" they are the world's best. lol :emlaugh:

Duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh :retard:

IMO he was undersized, but the kid could really pass rush.

Hamilton was undersized and only could pass rush. Ok so because i disagree with you, you think I can't comprehend  ok.

Nah, I think you comprehend but you're so pro-SWAC until you and your blinders prevents you from seeing truth.

How many 1st or 2nd rounders were actually on SU's squad from fall 2011, since the GMs and plant managers lol came out to take a look-see on "pro day?"

I'll wait. :D lol

Does that say anything about how these kids view HBCUs? If so, what does it say?

What do you think when their high school coaches have put in their heads that HBCUs are garbage. Won't even allow their kids to even mention an HBCU out of their mouths.

I believe in second chances as long as he knows he is out of here if he causes trouble here.

I just said they showed up. Never said we had anyone worthy of being drafted. I think we will have someone drafted this season though :) .
