HBCU's in FCS Playoffs

Good for yall Panth... remember that the next time you accuse others in the conference of not wanting to play outside competition from other FCS conferences.

Stroke... I have no problem with them eliminating the SCG. But what our conference should do is petition for the right to have the option of having 12 regular season games. Since the NCAA EXCLUDES us from their playoffs, we should look after our own interests (like they do)

Whoa! Misfire Biggs! :slap: I never accused others of "ducking" outside of not understanding, in the early 2-00s, how certain "SWAC" fball teams didn't want to do then powerhoused McNeese St, UNI, Ill St, and even FAMU whereas we took our non-schollie offering asses to those places and played those folx in the same season. :read: :read: :read: :read: :read:

the NCAA hasnt exclude us from anything, we excluded ourselves.. and if we was smart we would have pushed to include us, and if the Thankgiving 3 earned a bye then include with those games gradfarthered in..

does the two schools travel for Free, stay for free, eat for free? isnt those cost?
Like SC state Alum said, you have indirect revenue from the playoffs, and Bowl games... Grambling hasnt has indirect revanue yet from playing in the SWAC championship, nor no one on this board know what we make off the game, Now thats pimping..

What indirect revenue? Are you talking about money from Boosters? Are you saying that the supporters only send money because their school is in the playoffs? C'mon man...those who are gonna send support dollars will do so based on regular season success and not a one game playoff appearance. If so then why hasn't SC State come up with enuff money to afford to outbid Ga Southern? I mean, they have been in the playoffs about 2-3 years in a row...surely their fans have been saving up enuff so that SC State could host a game? I mean, all this Indirect Revenue money has to be going somewhere, right?, right?

I don't think that's true... I think the state gets the "surcharge" (ticket prices go from $5 regular season to $9 for the playoffs). Plus the High school gets to keep their concession sales.

Okay...your turn (lol)

A whole lot of "I thinks" Mike Bigg, but its the same as with what the NCAA does. but I Dont think hosting the GAME was the issue, as a matter of fact I believe the lack of games we get to host was the issue with the playoffs..

But wasn't it your choice to play those schools? Don't you find it strange that they were seeking to play you guys as opposed to Grambling or Jackson State during that time span? Haven't you noticed that since yall started giiving Schollies those McNeese, Southeastern, Nicholls haven't been calling as frequently...if at all. What about the year yall had the 10 game schedule...who didn't call or answer (them or yall)?

The reason I posted I think on that ONE post was because I don't state opinion as fact. If I knew for a fact, I would say so.

Now about this Indirect Revenue you mentioned... is that an opinion or fact? How is it measured and how do you know that those booster dollars would not have come anyway? Can you give me the facts from someone on that... not your opinion, but the facts?

I have to run out for a while... that will give you time to come up with some facts.

We're looking-----> $$$$$$$$$$$ as well as what makes cents, I mean, sense. :) Our current trend is to drop on an FBS schedule, like 2011 w/ the FBS school here in Texas. Ridiculously minimal travel costs + nice 250K+ $ payday. Win, win, win. :)
