The job Coach Hughley has done in year 1 has been remarkable. He has won championships everywhere he has been a head coach (high school state championship with Demarcus Cousins, JUCO state championship while coaching men and women, and head coach of the #1 team in Africa while coaching the Nigerian National womens team)… Winning 15 games in year one with a depleted roster and losing the leading scorer and rebounder to the transfer portal, I expected a down year. The future is bright for AAMU basketball.

What happened with SU? I just looked and saw they were 8-1 and hot in the SWAC and the wheels fell off. They limped into the tournament 3-6 and ultimately finished 3-7 to end the season. This is not smack, legitimate question. Did someone get hurt? Or is Woods back to his crazy antics?

You’re on point. The honest answer is I don’t know. Other teams are playing their best ball right now and S.U. without a doubt regressed from what I see. One can speculate that Sean doesn’t know how to manage his team for an entire season because it seems like a trend now. I witnessed great shooting players press and lose confidence, IMHO. The team played hard and their best though so I will give them props for that.
The coach started coaching......
He wanted the credit, now he gets the blame....

Woods practice our team two hard , even on game days, and every season it caught up with them. Every season we start hot, and then fold down the stretch because they don’t have legs.

Nah man, I seen that from others. I think that was said at his previous places as well. I’m always going to call out his excuses but I back him with this.

Excuse? He asked what happened. I can see if this was the first year. It has happened 3 years now. First place the first half, and losing the second half.

That’s why I stated it’s a trend now. Okay guy but he can’t manage an entire season.
