Beating LSU at home is something but adrenaline is pumping and at times you can play over your head. Midweek wins against top teams are common in the baseball world. Incarnate Word best A&M and UT this season

Now coming back after an emotional win against a legit Southland opponent and winning is even more impressive as it validates the win and team.
For those of us Jaguar fans who has really been paying attention, prior to this week, Jackson has been playing mostly reserves position players in the midweek games, and yet we were competitive in them all except 2 early in the year, LSU and Air Force. This week he let his starters play. Dude is really building something special. Even the great SUper talented teams, never were as fundamentally sound as he has us playing now.

Your saying a lot - I’ve seen SU a few times and those super teams had it all. Talent, speed, pro players, legit pitching and that was the era of the metal bats.

Yea they had it all, but you aren’t hearing what I’m saying. I’m saying they weren’t always the most fundamentally sound team. This team is discipline, fundamentally sound , and better coached lol but no where near as talented.

Hard to say they weren’t fundamentally considering you had guys who played on the biggest stage. But remember the ball flew off the bat faster then, you played way more games then and doubleheaders on bad fields.

They are playing great baseball!!! But our '92-'93 teams were pretty fundamentally sound also. Don't get me wrong, these young men have something special brewing and it's a beautiful thang!!!

The NCAA cut down on the “Gorilla Ball”/juiced balls and bats by deadening the bats and balls. Made the game more station-to-station/old school National League ball. Remember some SEC coaches were pissed when those changes were made.
