Tigers bats erupt for 24-5 win over PVAMU

PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – Texas Southern bats came alive in the Sunday SWAC match-up at Prairie View A&M, collecting a 24-5 (7 inn.) victory to take two of three in the series.

Texas Southern (15-15, 9-6 SWAC) had seven of their starting nine have multi-hit games as all of them picked up at least one hit and scored at least one run.

Gerreck Jimenez posted a 4-of-5 day at the plate, scoring five runs, picking up two RBI and drawing a walk.

Chris Scroggins also collected a 4-of-5 day, collecting three RBI, four runs scored and a walk. Joel Rosario and Andre Moore both collected five RBI and two hits for the Tigers.

Again their pitching is crazy. We got the bats but Menendez is on a mission.
He's been on a mission for the last thee years and has come up short. If Bama State doesn't win the SWAC this year, they won't win it anytime soon.
They tend to play well during the regular season, then fizzle out in the tournament.

The last couple years we at least won a few games. Last year we finished 4-3 against them. They are much more dominant this year.
 



Yes. It is a different beast because all it takes is one game. But this might be their year. They have been dominant to say the least. He has built a program.
