Harold Jackson plans to play keep away

Quinn has scored EACH time he has faced JSU, if I remember correctly. Unless they plan on giving up field position all night long, I would take my chances. Hell, Tillery has scored each time he has played JSU .... I understand the concept but it's kind of not serving as plenty of other Jaguars can do what's needed to beat JSU.

Hell, if your special teams as a whole isn't better, it won't matter who you kick to.

Our special teams is a lot better from last year. Last year, I KNEW SU was gonna run back two.. but this year, SU won't run back any. U might get some good to decent returns but not a TD.

I would throw everything at su's raggedy ass defense. Don't mind the keep away on special teams, but definitely not against su's porous, atrocious and not so dangerous defense.

Ummmm ok.

But, you do realize if we get some decent returns that puts us in scoring position, AND we score, and CONTINUE to score MORE points than your team....

never mind. I forgot who I was replying to.

Carry on...

So umm, using your (HA) logic, your defense is the exact opposite of Southerns?

Craft your response carefully....

I don't understand the big issue of what HJ said. If I'm not mistaken, every coach so far has said the same thing. LaTech coach talked about it......and yet he has returned a kickoff in each game. As far as punting, the return he took back was due to the punter being in the endzone. That's why it has been said, JSU should minimize their mistakes so there won't be a punt return problem.

Yes, SU pass defense is very weak at this time. SU gave up a long 4th down to Valley....yeah, that Valley. But, I don't think JSU defense will stop Jones and Menard and Tillery.

Agreed, there isn't anything wrong with what he said.

As far as the second part. Our Run D has improved so i dont see Tillery being too much of a factor. But if we dont have an answer for the woes in the secondary it wont matter either way. I think the defense will be the deciding factor in this game. Both of which have displayed poor secondary play. The one that steps it up will win.

At at the end of the day, watch the kick RIGHT to Quinn! lol

But that's cool. He just gonna get broke in half. Not really worried about the SU run game but with both teams having suspect secondaries, we could get a shootout. The difference maker will be the JSU front 7. Clearly the best in the SWAC.

Now you understand why the media is closed to all JSU practices this year! And it should not have been someone from SU going searching all of the news story to look for a JSU game plan is called being SCARED! I would not kick the ball to the playmaker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...and a couple of others...

I will be in attendance. Just don't lose SUckers.. I wonder what excuse you will give...hmmmmmmmmm

Will not be any excuses to give. If we lose it will be all on the coaching staff and players. They have to execute. It's a rivalry game. I anticipate it to be like most JSU vs SU games. TOUGH. It both teams come to play, it will be a good game. Odums knows JSU is coming to play ball.

He ain't going to get broke in half. Stop wishing. LOL. Any if I am not mistaken, Danny Johnson took one back on yall last year and the years before that it was Jaleel Richardson returning on yall. Every year SU is getting points on special teams against JSU. This ain't the first rodeo. Don't know what it is. But yall just never value special teams play. Except for that FG kicker. Now he is good.

Honestly, I don't even see Quinn having a big game this game..I see the other weapons going off...

*shruggs*

You may be right. I think folks will focus on him so much and it will be some other folks doing their dirt. Menard and Jones are my bets to have a good game. Or Quinn will have a bigger game at WR than KR.

If a D-2 school like Arkansas-Monticello's Bollweevils can run roughshod over Odom's sorry defense, there's no excuse for JSU not to do the same thing.
It amazes me how this occurs time and time again. It's time to hold coaches accountable.

Dude that was 4 years ago when Stump was coaching. Just stop with the mindless drivel.

Your defense didn't do it last year so what makes you think jSU will do it THIS year?

again, craft your response carefully...

That's my point. There's NO excuse for it to happen. A D-2 school comes into Mumford and whoops the "s" off of su, so there's no excuse for JSU not to do the same thing.

look ima be honest I hate SU with a passion but if you guys let a coach that 95% percent of us want gone beat you I would delete my profile if I were you...:D

sidebar I expect a shootout SU secondary is just as weak as ours...

I see what you're TRYING to do, to no avail. You're trying to compare what UAM did to SU 4 years ago to say what JSU will do to us now.

Answer this: what did your sorry defense do to SU in 2014??? That's a far better comparison than our 2011 defense when BOTH SU and JSU
had different head coaches.

I think so too.

su's defense is NO better than that defense was back then. Odoms is not a defensive minded coach by ANY means.
