Harlem team allowed to play in LLWS


This is not just a ofay problem with the bruhs of Harlem.
I'm a coach for my son's team and he has played on several tournament teams in the last few years. Although he's not in the little league age range they do have state tournaments for ages 6, 7-8, 9 & 10. The politics that are invovled is amazing. You would be suprised at what some of these parents do to get their child on these teams and get other children thats more deserving off the teams. It gets upsetting when you see this happen and when you voice your objections and then children are used as pawns in these matters. Your child don't make this team because that coach didn't like your parent because of something they said to them earlier in the season. Our league had to change the way the tournament teams were picked because of this and this year it was a little better but it still isn't perfect.
 



Fiyah, you ain't neva lied. My son has almost given up baseball because of the parental politics. He doesn't know it as such, but I have a hard time explaining to him every summer why he never gets picked but we go to the games and he sees all the undeserving coaches sons on the team, guys he knows he's better than. Then his best friend is picked and he just doesn't understand that they can only have one token on the team. But I'm trying to keep him in it, because I can see his future, but football is calling him. I just keep hanging up.:D
 
Yall are straight telling it like it is. These mofos are full of ish.
 
I do not have children now. But I am not too crazy about letting a son (when I do get one) of mine playing little league. I know a thing or two about politics because I did play high school football in Georgia. But what I see in little league (albeit from a distance) surpasses what I experience in football.

These parents who play politics are not like my parents. My parents did not use me for political reasons.

BTW I heard yesterday that this situation was investigated last week and they were cleared.
