Who knows but that's Hampton's business.

A move like this is ok, but I really think Hampton needs to hold on in the MEAC until they choose to move to a FBS conference. The MEAC is growing and is becoming a respected FCS conference in all sports. I can see a smaller non=HBCU joining the MEAC in the next 4 years. Just like Chowan moved to the CIAA. The SWAC really needs to wake up. The SWAC really should have been the first HBCU conference to have a member move to an FBS conference or a non-HBCU school to move to the SWAC. We just continue to do the wrong things and make the wrong calls.
When AAMU joined the SWAC it was a great experience, however, when I read comments about what the SWAC should do and did not do, I am amazed of the little knowledge many fans and alums who know the true facts about the SWAC (which consist of 10 schools). There is a rich history of the SWAC, but the SWAC is not the ACC, SEC, Big Ten and etc. When our alums and fans discuss what the SWAC need to do, it is not the SWAC Office who will make the final decision on recommendations, but a collective efforts by our Presidents. Many schools other than SWAC schools are struggling just to keep an athletic department in the black and HBCUS are faced with the same issues. However, we have done more with less than many of the small PWCs and if we continue with our support we can do even better.
The CAA did not want Hampton in 1995 when Hampton moved up to Division I. Would the CAA want Hampton now?
Good Move Hamp
JSU...take notice
No disrespect but I have heard some people in the government say that the SU Board is ran by thugs, some of who take marching orders from people who care nothing about Southern.
 Thugs??? I don't agree. Nor do I agree with the folks don't care about SU. Recently, since making a couple of changes, the board has been about it's buisness and has stayed out of the media, while letting folks do their job. Thats all alums and supporters can ask for.
