GSU v. PV

I think it'll be a very good game but won't dare pick a winner. I had PV winning the division and championship before the LDC but not too confident in my pre-season thoughts now.

You don't think the LDC was a game where PV had "first game jitters."

Don't forget we just scored 43 against one of the best defense (Alcorn) in SWAC. Is 6 TD's good enough? I think we are back on track.

Best defense? Did you see Alcorn play Bama State? Did you see them play UAPB? Their defense is no where near where they were the past 3 years! Their DBs are not what they used to be. Hell, the majority of the game they only blitzed you with 3 DL so that should tell you it wasn't the same defense. Not the same DC either.

Grambling has faced two struggling turnover prone SWAC teams...so its tough to gauge them against a team that has its stuff more together.

Every team in the SWAC has struggled with turning the ball over including Grambling so don't down play their wins.

At Grambling we win Championships.... other schools are just ok with winning ball games.

I pick Grambling winning EASILY. PV hasn't impressed me at all this year. TXSU gave them a great run and the Texas A&M game that some PV poster's on this site said would be a shocker and that they would beat A&M earlier this year was not even worthy of being talked about. PV is a good SWAC team but Grambling is a threat against anyone and on offense Grambling has the better players at every position. People say what we did against JSU wasn't dominant enough on offense but TXSU made PV look even worse. Green is good for PV but so was he last year and GSU stilled beat them with our bad defense. If you are picking PV then please tell me what have they done this season. Like I said GRAM in a landslide.

I still think folks let a healthy dose of wishful thinking cloud their view of this game... especially after I was able to go back and watch the angles from the broadcast. The interruption didn't help with people's memories either. For instance folks kept talking about Christophe but he only threw one TD on a poorly executed CB blitz and fumbled twice while scrambling. The second TD pass was actually from the backup that everybody wanted to blame the loss on. Our receivers have stopped dropping open passes and we aren't stalling in the red zone which is what kept the LDC close in the first half.

I think you're in for a not so welcome surprise win or lose.... I don't think you've watched any of these games.

This IS the game all of the Prairie View players have had circled since the loss last September...

A SWAC regular season winning streak will come to an end Saturday. Prairie View's winning streak is at 8 games. Grambling's is at 11 games.

Since the 2013 season "Shotgun" Willie Simmons is 22-3 against SWAC teams. 2 of those losses have been to Grambling.

Since the 2014 season Fobbs is 18-3 against SWAC teams.

Please PV people. No more facts. It's causing overload. lol

Ummmm Alcorn is 8th in total defense in the SWAC, TSU has the number 1 defense, also Alcorn is LAST in pass defense. Not sure you faced even one of the better defenses in the SWAC

Give me your weekend PV v. GSU score predictions SWAMI!

I already said this isn't a shoe in for EITHER team. I feel neither team will get to 40 this year tho. The main issue with PV is good or bad the offense gets off the field so fast because of their style play. Everyone thinks that GSU is going to just smash Trey Green, but if you actually watched PV play A&M they only sacked Trey ONE time and their dLine has some monsters, so it won't be a walk in the park fpr PV or GSU. I see a 27-24 game or maybe 35-28 game and the winner will come down to penalties and special teams

I can't disgree with you. There will not be a repeat of last year's game as far as point totals. I will be at my father-in-laws b'day party. Send me a link to stream the game. I can't wait to watch. It's funny how ESPN missed televising this one.

This ignorance of Green though is cracking me up. I actually like watching him work under pressure. The only way I see pressure causing trouble is if he's not healthy. It's just up to the receivers to make the catches.

Yeah this would have been a good one to at least put on ESPN3. I know sometimes others stream it I think HRSN. Is this one going to be on the SWAC digital network?
