Forgettable, but I guess the team intentionally wanted it that way. I guess they was thinking, "Ah, we could care less. Let's give our friends from Baton Rouge the 6-6 record, as an act of sportsmanship and compassion."
See, kellis, the BC is YOUR SCG, and the G-Men made sure of that. Think of it as a little early X-Mas present.
You mean, the G-Men intentionally let the Jags open a can of whuup-arse on them. See, Doug said, "We're focusing on the SCG, not the BC."
So, be happy that us G-Men are being nice to you this year. We let you guys escape a losing season and Petey Pablo getting the boot. Next year, when the stakes are higher (if they are), it's not gonna be like this. MARK MY WORD.
You were given a late-season present, and as the ICON, the G-Men have the right to take it away from you. We're giving it to you this time, since you Jag Nation people are really cool folks. Congratulations. Enjoy the victory while it lasts.

What I'm trying to say is that the next coach at JSU is gonna be nowhere near Doug's or Pete's caliber. In fact, next year, JSU is gonna get hammered by the ICON and the Jag Nation. Your plans of trying to make it to Birmingham are moot. It's gonna take the current coaches at the ICON and at SU moving somewhere else in order for you folks to have a shot in hell at the SCG.
The bottom line is, the next JSU head coach is gonna be better than Hughes, but not as good as Doug or Pete. And of course he isn't my coach, because he doesn't deserve to be my coach. The best job he can do is be a janitor for JSU, or leave the school altogether and live in obscurity. But, in short, I really don't care about Hughes, cause there's nothing for him to really cheer about.
Just my humble opinion.

tongjr, I'm going to ASSUME that you did not go to Grambling because no teams LET'S the other team win.....just because.
This is a drag-down, brawl for all, game of football........ between these two schools....regardless of the records.

Grambling didn't LET anybody WIN isht! Southern TOOK that game and dared the Country Pushies to try and take it back.
Everytime they tried, they got knocked in the damn mouth and Randy Williams put the bow-tie on this one, weaving through them slow-ass Tiggers for the TD.
As happy as I am right now, I am pissed too. Where was this juggernaut ALL DAMN YEAR! I'm not one of those people who says "All we have to do is beat Grambling". CFUK GRAMBLING (wait, we just got through doing that ...)
After they celebrate, somebody needs to look at why this didn't happen all year long!

Actually, I don't go to any SWAC school. I'm just a fan from CA posting my thoughts on this game. But that's what I said earlier in my first post on this thread. THROW THE RECORDS OUT THE WINDOWS, WE'LL DO THE REST.

Actually, I'm not a student from any of the SWAC schools. I'm a SWAC fan from CA. I'm attedning classes there. I only put the ICON in my profile because it's my favorite team. The ICON was the team that opened my eyes to Black College Football. And you can thank Coach Rob fo dat. I'm out. - Status
