GSU/PV - UT/OU to stay at Cotton Bowl through 2015

Consider this:

The State Fair Classic receives 20% of what the Red River Shootout receives. If you compare it to the deal negotiated by the Red River Shootout officials the State Fair Classic receives 5.8%. Our institutions are seeking some level of equality and equity to balance the overwhelming disproportionate appropriation we have received and continue to receive in just about ever level of political policy mandates.

Think About It!!

Not sure I understand this Jafus? Are you saying that the SFC deserves more? If the City should pay more shouldn't it get more in return for its investment?

I realize that the game draws a lot of folk there, but do we have enuff leverage to demand more of a payout? Do we threathen to pull out of the game at the present location? Wondering where else could this game go and draw a similar crowd...

That is the question. What is the city's investment?
And my response to your question would be, what is the City's return on investment.

It is my opinion that the SFC is very lucky to get the kind of attendance number it gets thanks to the state fair. Let's be real for a minute. Other than the GSU and PV supporters, nobody cares about the game itself. The game is a joke. We have seen it time after time after time what happens after halftime. But I digress...this still has nothing to do with the economic impact the game has on the city.

One can not calculate the return on investment, without knowing the original investment. There is a historical reason why the SFC is very lucky to get the kind of attendance number it gets thanks to the state fair. At this pace, things will continue in the negative correlation regression model we have scene. I agree this not totally about the economic impact the game has on the city. It is simply about understanding empowerment and the need for accountability of one's own investments.

After what I have seen over the past 3 to 4 years, we need to have a home and home or move the game to San Antonio or Houston.

Cancel the Ricky Smilely halftime show and the Brown Commercials from the Jumbotron. That isht is a hot mess!!! :vomit:

"NEGRO DAY @ The texas State Fair". The only day blacks were allowed to ride rides, eat, view, and sight-see @ the texas State Fair. :)

:swink: We've been playing there for well over 50+ years.
