Well...if this one "not feel good" story has an ugly ending...those "10 feel good stories" won't be worth crap. And not trying to be "prophetic" and all...but ummmm...this could get ugly in north la....

This is typical of the "the news star". Whenever there's an opportunity to print negative press on *SU, you can bet they will be the first in line. ULM and La tech can get away with murder and the news star will dress it up to make them appear innocent. I would suspect that *rambling is about to land a couple of blue-chip recruits out of that area.
I certainly hope that this turns out to be nothing more than an inquiry. Every decade it seems that a SWAC team steps-up and takes the league to a new level. I would rather use my ladder to rise to their level than pull them down to mine.

Maybe the news star of old but now it is different. LATECH paul milsapp got arrested and the news star had it front page of sports n bold letters. The rb from latech got in trouble with the law big time. The news star had it front sports page in bold again. I think news star sprots section does a good job of reporting the good and bad. NO paper is perfect. THE COVERAGE WE ARE GETTING NOW IS UNHEARD OF !!!! I LOVE IT !!!!!!

U don't even know what is goin on. NONE OF THOSE PLAYERS PLAYED ONE SINGLE DOWN IN ANY GAME.................. I don't see how this could get ugly if no one played.

Glad to hear that your news coverage has improved. But I still question the timing of this story and had this been ULM or La-Tech would it still have been printed this late into the recruiting season. Since it's only an inquiry, I feel that the editor should have shelved this story for a couple weeks.

Nick did sit on the story as long as he could this has been floatin around since late October I think the timing had to do with when the NCAA showed up on Campus. BTW STC the Advocate, News Star, and Clarion ledger give about the same amount of coverage to the respective SWAC schools in there area.

I think we should invite Southern Lab, they?re going to have a State Championship caliber team this year and you know how they follow high school football.

Hell the last time they were in the dome there was about 50,000 fan so that's a guaranteed sellout. :emlaugh:
